Chapter 40: The Jack Of Hearts vs. the "King" Of Diamonds

The little group ran towards the direction Emil was heading earlier. The heard loud, fast footsteps.
"Shit! The oni found us!" Kuro shouted so suddenly.
"Nani?! The oni found us?! Think of a situation, Maria.." Maria said to herself. Her eyes widen.
"That's it! I must stop running then let the oni attack me!" Maria stopped running, and she faced the monster.
"Come! Catch me if you can!" she shouted. She turned to her teammates and nods. Her eyes once again turned into pink and a beautiful heart mark appeared below her right eye. Cards starts to appear from nowhere. She summons a Joker.
"One Pair? Two Pair? Iie Fullhouse?" Maria asks. She starts to run. Maria's pace quickened. The oni was fast, but Maria is very fast. The Joker she summoned attacked the oni. Once she catches up with her team, she huffed and puffed.
"Maria, what is that mark below your eye?" Lukas asked. As he asked it, the Japanese trio smirked.
"This symbolizes that I am the Queen Of Hearts. Kuro-nīsan is the King, and Kiku-nīsan is the Ace Of Hearts." she explained. Until a familiar voice speaks.
"Your pretentious cards are dazzling you, Mr. Prince." They all turned around, and saw....
"Emil?!" Lukas cried in disbelief. Emil was not hurt, but his purple eyes turned gray, as if he was mindslaved. The oni was right behind him.
"What happened to you?!" Lukas asked in shock. Emil just smirked at chuckled.
"Don't you know already, 'big brother'?" he said. The Swedish man's face was emotionless, but was filled with anger. He prepares his butter knife, and throws it at Kuro and Kiku. He threw it, but Maria quickly sprang into action. She sprinted quickly and guards her brothers, letting the knife hit her. All of them was in shock.
"Maria! Are you ok?" Lukas said, running to her position. She straightens her body, removes the knife from her heart. She removed it but...
There was no blood on it.
"W-What?" Emil muttered. Maria grins.
"One of the gifts in our blood is immortality. That means me, Kiku-nīsan and Kuro-nīsan cannot die, regardless of what happens to us." she explained. Someone's footsteps went closer and closer and finally revealed himself.
"Vhy, hallo, everyvone." he said in a German accent.
"I see zhat you've betrayed us, Kuro." The man was none other than Lutz.
"Lutz! What have you done to Emil-san?!" he asked. The German 2p played with his gun.
"Vell, I brainwashed him." he said in a montone voice.
He aims his gun towards him, and suddenly a book blocked the shot.
"F-Feliciano-san!" Kiku said. Feliciano had the same mark as the Japanese trio has: a heart.
"I am Feliciano Vargas, the Jack Of Hearts!" he declared. The book he was holding was not an ordinary book.
"Vhat do you vant to do, Jack?" Lutz asked the Italian. His mark below his left eye is a diamond.
"I am zhe King of Diamonds. And now, bow to me." he said with a deathly glare. All of them suddenly cannot control themselves and they did bow. Except for Maria and Feliciano.
SNAP!
Maria summons the Joker again, revealing it was Gilbert. He had horns growing from his white hair and his eyes were pure red and was wearing a mischievous grin.
"Vhat?!" Lutz exclaimed.
"A flower weighs a monme, Lutz!" Gilbert said.
"My other face is a liar that takes an appearance of a little girl." Maria calmly says. They throw their cards; the Jack Of Hearts and the Queen Of Hearts. They turned into knives. Lutz glanced to Emil.
"Do it." he said. Emil gets his gun and shoots the cards. The cards increase in a large population and blocked his bullet. The next one to move is the Joker, or the Prussian. He gave Emil and Lutz a card of diamonds, the King Of Diamonds and the Ace Of Diamonds.
"Danke sch-" Lutz's sentence was cut short by Gilbert's laughter. The cards were actually both Joker cards!
"As zhe Joker says, 'I'll steal the diamond before you notice!'" Gilbert stated. He was holding the real cards all the time. He kisses the diamond cards and faded away. Lutz shoots the two in unison with Emil. The bullets miss!
"Feliciano-san." Maria started.
"Sí?" the Italian asks.
"You take out Lutz and I'll take out Emil." Maria says. Feliciano looks at her in shock.
"W-What?! W-Why?" he asks. Maria didn't give him a response, but she said,
"You can do it! You're the Jack Of Hearts!" She then teleports with Emil to somewhere far from them. Feliciano looked at Lutz with a serious face.
"Guess it's just you and me, you tedesco[1]." he says. The German chuckled.
"I guess you're vight, Jack Of Hearts." he then lurches forward to Feliciano. Lutz shoots his gun.
"Feliciano-san, look out!" Kuro alarmed. Feliciano didn't hear him, but he dodged the bullet quickly. He jumps and sliced his diamond mark, making Lutz scream in pain. He puts his hand where the mark is, and it bleeds. He continues to shoot him, but Feliciano sliced all of the bullets.
"Lutz! Who do you think are you doing this for?" Feliciano asks.
"For..for Luciano's revenge!" He then punches the Italian in the stomach. The Italian did not give up. He knows that he would die if he didn't do it! He steals Lutz's iron cross around his neck. He then crushes it.
"If you're going to do it for Luciano, then you must kill me first." Feliciano says in a serious tone.
"Feliciano, you idiot, get yourself an alibi!" Kuro yells. Feliciano glared at him in a second, and Lutz tries to shoot him, but the bullet was catched by the Italian boy. He blows it and turns into a jar of cards. Lutz clenched his teeth in anger. He kicks Feliciano and suddenly, Lovino appeared from nowhere and kicked him back.
"F-Fratello! What are you doing here?!" he asks in horror.
"You bastardo, you're gonna get killed by this rate! If you killed Lutz, you will become the Ace and Emil will return back to normal!" he says in a displeased tone.
"Madonna mia, fratello is right. If I didn't do this quickly, all of us will be his slaves!" Feliciano thought to himself. He grinned. He stands right next to his brother. Their curls both touched and formed a heart; symbolizing their cards. Maria returned with her katana and holds it at Lutz's neck.
"If you dare kill my nīsans, you'll regret your death. Do you want to be killed, or my nīsans will be killed, including me?" Maria asks in a murderous tone. This is it. She has became truly insane. Lutz can't choose. If he chose to kill the Japanese trio, he'll regret his death. If he chose to be killed, Feliciano, Lovino and Maria will stab him in unison.
"Choose already." Maria says in a more, murderous tone. Lutz elbowed Maria's stomach and goes for Kiku and Kuro. Luckily, Maria, Lovino and Feliciano caught up at him and stabbed him, right in front of Maria's brothers' eyes.
"I am truly amazed, imōto." Kiku whispers quietly while wearing a proud smile. Emil returned, as well.
"We've got to find Li Xiao and Tino quick! I heard there's keys at the sea." Emil said.
"Then we'll find it. If they did drowned, Berwald-san will surely fall into sadness and depression." Maria mutters.
"Ikuzo, minna-san.[2 and 3]"

Damn, this chapter's like 1,200 plus words! This is the longest fight chapter. While writing this, I was literally listening to "Poker Face" by GUMI. And plus, Cardverse alert, fangirls!
