Chapter 9

"Rhyon."

Nahinto ako sa pag pasok sa kwarto ko at humarap kay Dad. Seryoso syang nilapitan ako. Nag iwas ako ng tingin.

"Tell me the truth, Rhyon. Are you the one who did that thing to your brother's girlfriend?"

"Dad, nag tutor ako." sagot ko.

"Rhyon!" sigaw nya na.

Humarap ako sa kanya at pigil ang galit na sumagot ako.

"So what if I did that? I love him!" sagot ko. Nagulat ako ng biglang dumapo sa pisngi ko ang palad nya.

"Baby.."

Natigilan din sya sa ginawa nya. Napa tawa ako ng pagak at saka hinarap sya. I wipe the blood from my lips as I look at my father with hatred.

"I hate you." bulong ko at saka tumakbo paalis.

Nag mamadaling sumakay ako ng dumaan na taxi. I told him to bring me at Fort Bonifacio. Pag dating duon, dali-dali akong pumasok sa bahay ni Kuya Ice. I saw him playing cards on his own.

He look at me with his cold grey eyes and averted it back to his cards. I sat beside him and watch him silently.

"What happened?" sya.

"Dad slapped me because of that bitch." sagot ko agad. He look at me and shrug.

"Because you're hardheaded bitch." sagot nya. Inirapan ko sya.

"Kuya.. Help me win Kuya Enrico."

"No." sagot nya.

"Why?!"

"Because he deserves better. I knew him all along." sagot pa nya.

"I'm your blood related. Why can't you hel--" tumayo sya at saka binigay sakin ang isang baraha. It's the Queen of Hearts.

"It sybolizes love. I'll help you once. But if he rejected you one last time.. Return that to me, and forget him." once in a blue moon, eto ang pinaka mahabang sinabi nya.

Hindi ako naka kibo sa sinabi nya. "Promise me." ulit nya.

I tsk.

"Promise."

Kuya Ice told me to wait here. It's been three since the last time we talk. I'm here at school. For I don't know reason, I did what he told me. After couple of hours of waiting. My heart started to pound. My eyes only focused to one man, walking down the stairs and talking to the chairman.

"Kuya." tawag ko. He stop mid sentence and look at me.

My mouth opened but it stopped when his eyes looked different. It has no emotion. He ended his conversation with chairman and started to walk when I hold him.

"Look, Rhyon. I have matters to do. May meeting pa ako ngayon." he said with his casual voice. Wala na yung pleasing tone sa boses nya. Like he use before.

"Lets talk." I said.

It's now or never. He hesitantly looked at me. Then he nod. I feel the triumpt in me. He loves me and I knew it. He's just confused. Students are looking at us as we passed by.

I was thinking of asking him if their relationship end up already when he clear his throat.

"What do you want us to.. To talk about, Rhyon?"
