Chapter 4: Laxus' "Game" [Continued]

"Hmm It's a bummer that Gajeel's not coming" She mentioned.

Lucy looked up at her. "Hm? And why's that?" Lucy raised an eye brow.

Levy swatted her hand to dismiss the subject. "He just deserves to be there that's all. He did help Natsu big time with Laxus.." Levy trailed off and turned back to her mirror, applying a coating of mascara.

Lucy just shrugged and stood up. "So. How do I look?"

"Amazing as always." Levy sighed, checking her own body in the mirror. "You know I really wish I had your figure Lu-chan"

"Levy don't be silly. You have a great hour glass figure, plus your behind makes up for whatever you think you're missing up front. But in my opinion, you're fine just the way you are. Okay?" Lucy placed a hand on her shoulder and shook her a bit.

Levy nodded, not believing a word she said,  "Well we should get going.."

Lucy grabbed their scarves that go with their costumes and followed behind Levy.

They made their way to their parade float. The pretty one with sparkles, hearts, glitter, and all out kawaiiness. They took their positions and got ready for the music to start. The parade floats began to move, queuing them to start. The beautiful music erupted through the Magnolian streets.

Levy, Lucy, and Bisca all nodded at each other and began their dance. Twirling their ribbon flags, swaying their hips,  and smiling bright. The people of Magnolia's cheers were so loud, they'd surely be deaf after this. Levy was so happy. She was dancing, having fun with her guild mates. This was her home, her family, this is the Magnolia she always knew. No matter what bad things happened, the good things will always over power them.  Levy sent out a solid script word into the sky, it was "FAIRYTAIL" in sparkly letters. All the little girls in the crowd stared in admiration.

Gajeel had just gotten back from his "plans" and headed for the Master's float, for it had not driven off yet. He delivered secret news that the Master's dark mage son, Ivan, was starting his own guild. A dark guild.

"Sorry I gave you such a dangerous job." Makarov sighed.

"It was no problem Master. Plus they didn't even know I was working as a double agent."

"You did good my boy" Makarov placed a hand on his shoulder in appreciation.

"Makarov. The float is headin' off" One of the float workers informed him.

"Well that's my queue" Master shrugged. "you gonna join?"

"Nah. Ain't my style" Gajeel scoffed.

"Oh really Mr. Shooby Doo Bop?" The Master sang, chuckling after.

Gajeel's cheeks puffed out. "Hmph"

"Haha. The least you could do is watch it." Master suggested.

Gajeel nodded, and with that Makarov was off.

Gajeel was wondering through the busy crowd scurrying as fast as he could to catch up to the first parade float, so that he could watch it. He reached the 3rd float and looked to see who was in it and his eyes landed on Levy dancing around the float, stopping him in his tracks.

Wow. Levy.. She looks.. beau- GAH! What am I saying. Tch..

Even though he was lying to himself, he couldn't keep his eyes off of her and the way she danced and smiled and he especially like the way her blue hair swayed in rhythm with her hips...  He had never had strange feelings like these before towards another person. He was curious to how out of all the people in the world, the one that he hurt the most and once hated, is the also the one he wants to make happy. Of course that's because he knew he practically had to spend his life to try and make up for the things he has done in the past.

Gajeel was determined to protect her, he never wants to see her get hurt ever again. And he was going to make sure NO ONE could hurt her.

Author's note: Sorry guys this is kind of short but I wanted to update as soon as possible so I wouldn't leave you hanging for 3 days without anything to read. I'm going to be posting chapter 5 on Saturday! Remember to vote/comment/follow <3 Thanks again to anyone that's reading this and for your support it means a lot. And I know this chapter was based on Laxus' game, but I didn't want to make it based on all the characters and Laxus' exile. So I wanted to start mainly focusing on Gajeel and Levy now. There will be way way way way wayyyy more GaLe moments trust me! As I mentioned before, I want to recap all the important moments that led up to them getting close and describe it in a way the anime doesn't show.
