"Oh right!" She exclaimed.
He could feel she was acting different.
Hmph... what's with her? He thought, nibbling his bottom lip.
She stood up with the bandaging roll in her hand.
"Tilt your head over" she ordered.
He tilted his head to the side, obeying.
She brushed his hair from his face and examining the gash in his forehead. She turned to the table and dipped some gauze in alcohol and turned back to him.
"This is going to sting.." She announced.
"Tch. Its just al- Yeeow!" He howled.
She stopped and stared down at him. "I'm sorry did I hurt you?!"
He cleared his throat . "No. I just wasn't expecting that."
"I did warn you haha" She giggled.
He just shrugged.
She was done cleaning the cut and bandaged his head.
"Where exactly does it hurt?" She asked him.
"Everywhere." He grunted.
"Ha. funny." she snickered. "I'm going to press down on your bones and you'll tell me if it hurts, okay?"
He nodded.
She sat down and pushed the chair in to meet the bed. She reached out her arms to take in his arm. Pressing gently around the bruised area she watched his face's reaction. He barely reacted.
"Alright, I'm gonna press harder now okay?"
He nodded once again.
She pressed into his arm and heard a crack. His face scrunched up, and he snarled back pain.
"Your arm's broken.." She sighed, gently rubbing it to sooth the pain.
His eyes widened a bit and he dismissed any intimate thoughts that came to mind, slightly shaking his head to himself.
She braced up his arm and rested it back on the bed, moving on to the rest of his body. His other arm was fine but his leg was definitely fractured and needed to be casted.
She cleared him of his injuries and was finishing up with the bandaging. He was set go! Or umm.. Set to limp around the guild.
"Thank you." He muttered.
"No problem" she hummed, smiling down at him. "You should definitely get some rest now Gajeel.. Fantasia's tonight and since it's your first time ever and you can't participate.. I still want you to see it, it's really something." she fiddled with her hands trying to calm her nerves.
Gajeel shifted in the bed, making it creek, and looked up at her.
"Thanks, maybe I'll catch a lil bit of it. I got plans though."
"I understand.. Well, get some rest anyways."
She began walking away, disappointed weighing down on her. She spun back around on her heel to say one last thing.
"Oh and Gajeel.. Thank you for stopping Laxus." She smiled graciously.
He nodded in response and let her walk out of the infirmary so she didn't catch his smile.
"Gihi.." he chuckled to himself. He soon dozed off.

It was now time for the annual Fantasia! Levy was so excited as she spun around her Fairy Hills dormitory in her costume.
