"Wh-what?!" She flustered.
He chuckled and shook his head, turning to look at the guild before them.
Levy puffed out her cheeks in embarrassment and marched through the guild doors, confident with her strength as she carried Gajeel in. A few gasps were exchanged as the two wounded dragon slayers were brought in. Jet and Droy stared at Levy with wide eyes as she carried Gajeel in, shocked at her strength.
"Levy!" they both greeted her.
"Not right now guys." She brushed past them to get Gajeel to the infirmary.
They frowned and walked away to sit at the bar, drinking away her every rejection towards them.
Mages were being aided left and right. Everyone in the infirmary was too busy to even help Gajeel. Levy's eyes fell upon Lucy who was bandaging up Natsu. She took the initiative to bandage Gajeel up herself since everyone was so busy. She walked over and gently laid him on the bed in the corner, and pulled the curtain around the bed to give them privacy.
"I'll fix you up good as new Gajeel.." She whispered and took the seat next to the bed.
She took a deep breath and began stripping his clothes down until his waist, exposing his chest and stomach. Levy tried so hard to focus on her objection to bandage him but it was so hard with his rock hard abs and marvelous pecks practically begging for her hands' attention. She gulped and grabbed the bandaging roll from the table. She hesitated as she reached her hand out to examine him. She gently dug her fingers into his side to feel for any damaged ribs. She wasn't in any way a professional but she did know the basics of aiding a mage. Her index finger pressed into a rib and she could feel the crack along it, signaling it was broken. It was the same for 3 more ribs.
"4 broken ribs.." She talked aloud to herself.
She got up and pressed the lever on the bed to the head and neck rest, leaving his back open so she could freely bandage him up. She took the roll and pulled out the bandaging, wrapping it tightly around his stomach over and over again, making sure to make it super tight, but loose enough to let him breathe. Because of her smaller figure she had to practically hug his waist in order to wrap him correctly, but she wasn't complaining. Mid-'hug' she looked up to his face, his eyes were open, steadily watching her. She jumped back accidentally pulling the bandage too tight making him wince.
"Oh Gajeel! I'm so sorry!" she gasped as she nervously fiddled with the bandaging to loosen it. "There is that better?" Her peering to his for an answer.
He nodded, opening his eyes back up to look at her.
"Does this feel alright? Too tight? Uncomfortable?" She rambled.
"Shrimp." he grunted. "It's perfectly fine." He smiled weakly.
This was the first he directed a smile at her and yet again the thumping of her heart returned. Her body boiling with heat as she fixed his bandaging.
"Okaygood" she spat out all at once, keeping her head down as she sat back down.
It was silent for a little, besides the mages on the other side of the curtain, but she could feel his eyes burning into her. She didn't dare look up to meet his eyes because she knew her heart would go haywire and probably burst. This was it, the feelings all confirming at once. Her mind clouding. She knew...
I like him.. She thought. The blush reappearing on her face.
"Levy.." Gajeel broke the silence.
Her head shot up.
"Yes?"
He chuckled. "Erm. Not to rush you or anything but aren't ya gonna finish...?" He asked looking down at his body.
