Natsu stared at Gajeel, speechless.

"Go" Gajeel grumbled to him, holding his simmering arm in pain.

Natsu nodded and hurled himself towards Laxus.

"Gajeel!" Levy's screamed, watching in disbelief as he thudded to the ground.

It took a few seconds until he shakily lifted his head to let a grin out to reassure her. He nudged his head to the left to signal her to watch Natsu and he laid his head back down on the ground.

She fought back any sobs that dared to escape and nodded at him, her attention turning back to Natsu.

Natsu went up in flames, literally. His flames burning brighter than ever, his power, fury, emotions boiling together in one monstrous attack.

"Iron fist... " He began, sprinting directly for Laxus he sent out his array of attacks. "of the Fire Dragon! Talons! Wing slash! Sword edge! FLAMING ELBOW!" Natsu's voice was audible through the whole town.

Levy's eyes widened and she watched in awe at her friend's successful attacks. "That magic will shatter a dragon's scales, crush it's innards, and cut down its very soul.."

"True dragon killing attacks..." Freed commented.

"Blazing flash over blade!" Natsu continued, he was relentless. His last attack sprung at, hitting Laxus point on.

Laxus' roar of pain could be heard as he flew up into the air and crashed back down into the hard roof's tiles. The tiles crumbled under and around him. He fell unconscious.

Levy and Freed were staring, speechless at the sight. Gajeel was smiling wide at Natsu, their success of beating Laxus couldn't of thrilled him more.

Natsu roared out in victory. He then fell over in exhaustion of his drained magic and broken limbs.

Levy rushed over to Gajeel, smiling down at him.

"You guys did it" She whispered happily.

"Gihi, of course we did. That flam brain ain't half bad."

"You pushed yourself enough today, now come on. Let's get back to the guild." She bent down to help him up.

"Yer a lot stronger than I'd imagine short stuff." Gajeel blubbered, looking away from her.

Heat was rushing to her pink cheeks and fought it off with a silly smile and continued helping him walk. Freed had Natsu and they began their journey back to the guild.

They were halfway there and Gajeel's eyes were drooping in exhaustion. Levy knew he would fall unconscious soon so she shifted under him so now most of his body was on her back. And just like that, he fell unconscious, sending his body weight on her. She tightened her legs to keep them straight, she was walking all wobbly at first but then finally regained her walking rhythm, keeping Gajeel from falling. She was amused at the fact that he was this big, strong, hard-headed dragon slayer and yet he was being carried away by a puny girl like her. She let out a muffled giggle and turned her head to his face that was resting on her shoulder. Her eyes grew with that same glistening they had back at the cathedral when he was shielding her. She couldn't help but gawk at his face, in some kind of weird trance. She studied his piercings as she walked, not even paying attention to where she was going as long as she could see long green hair in front of her from the corner of her eye to guide her. This is the first time she had ever seen his face so peaceful. His eyes softly shut, his chiseled cheek bones stuck out, his lips partly open... she gulped and turned her attention to his piercings. The studs along his brows, chin, nose, and ears. She wondered if they were actual piercings or if he had sprouted them with his iron magic. She'd ask him later on... that's if they ever became friends. She sighed and continued walking without paying attention. She bumped into Freed's back and yelped. She looked up to see Freed grinning down at her and began to blush.
