Author's Note: Jaclyn Hill (jaclynhill1 on YouTube) is my inspiration for Elle, however Elle is NOT Jaclyn Hill nor Scarlett Leithold. Elle is a combination of Jaclyn's profession and personality, but is physically (i.e. looks, age, etc.) attributed to Scarlett. Sorry if this confuses anyone, but you'll get the idea.

One MILLION subscribers. I actually hit one million subscribers on my YouTube channel. I never thought this day would come and now that it was here, I had absolutely no idea what to do. I really wanted to upload a video today, but the tutorial I was working on wasn't ready to be filmed. I was too excited to get creative, so I opened my phone and decided to ask people to send me questions for a Q&A video, seeing as I hadn't filmed one in a few months.

The sounds of the waves crashing on the sand outside my window helped me to focus as I finished setting everything up. I scanned the room and checked to make sure that everything was in place. My fairy lights behind my bed were plugged in a twinkling, casting a soft white glow on the walls and bringing even more light into my predominantly white room. My camera was sat on my tripod with a ring light attached just in front of it to prevent any unwanted shadows in the frame. After deciding that my filming space was ready, I grabbed my phone off the desk and brought it over to my bed with me. I hit the small red recording button on the back of the camera and plopped on the bed with the phone in my hand.

I checked my appearance in the viewfinder, raking my fingers through my messy blonde hair a few times to try and get it to look tousled and beachy, rather than frizzy and puffy like I did right now. After giving myself one last check in the mirror, I turned around to face the camera, locking in on the lens as I began to film.

"Hey guys, I'm Elle and you're not watching Disney Channel because you're watching my video instead."

Wow, so clever Elle. Good one.

"So I feel like it's been a while since I filmed a Q and A video for you guys, and a lot of things have been happening recently, so I thought I should go ahead and make another one." I picked my phone up from next to me and opened the Twitter app. "So I went on Twitter today and asked you guys to send me your questions with the hashtag 'Ask Elle' and a lot of you have been doing just that, so let's see what it is that you want to know."
