What the sad quotes say is not true
There is love for the girls who slit their wrists and thighs and cry and cry.
There is love for the boys who are weak, too weak to stand up to their abusive father.
There is love for us all
We must search for it
We must find it
So when did you begin believing in those stupid sad poems and quotes instead.
Is it because someone told you, you would never be good enough a few thousand times.
Is it because they made you feel not good enough.
Because they beat you up, they call you names, they make you feel worthless.
They make you believe you are worthless.
Well why the hell would you believe in them.
They have not touched your soul, only you have.
They have not appreciated pieces of your most fond work, only you and the one you love have.
They do not see you for who you truly are and who you strive to become. Only you and the one who loves you does.
These people who break you down are just there to show you a picture in life. Yet they do not stay and you have to cast them out.
Their words are their pain, not your truth.
