I was leaning against the door frame with my partner right in front of me. Our guns were pointed at the ground as we waited for the opportune moment to open the door. I glanced over at our team, who had their weapons at the ready. My partner counted down to three and we broke the door down. Immediately, my team and I stormed into the house and people began scrambling around. I tackled a man to the ground and told him not to move as I handcuffed him.

There were others who surrendered, some that tried to run, and others who tried running and got caught. Once all the officers shouted that the house was clear of any threats, I hauled up the man I handcuffed and handed him to another officer as my partner and I looked around the house.

"Damn," Dante, my partner, said, looking around. "This is another spot that we had to clear up in the passed week. What the hell is going on here?"

I shrugged, studying the meth lab. "I don't know. You think it's the same boss as all the other ones?"

"Probably," he sighed. "We got to figure out where their boss is located or else Dublin is going to get worse."

"I know," I sighed. "The evidence team is going to be here soon to take pictures of this."

"Lieutenant McKinley isn't going to be happy about this. He's been wanting us to crack this drug ring for months now."

"Well, we can't get all of them in one day. He should be happy that we're finding them."

"Not as fast as I want though," said McKinley as he walked inside the house with the evidence team. "This is the fourth one this month. Please, tell me you have something for me to be happy about."

"Nothing yet, Sir," I answered him. "Dante and I are going to interrogate the ones that were caught today and hopefully we get more information."

"Keep me posted," he warned us. "I'm the one who has to inform the captain and chief about this situation. I'm counting on you two. Don't let me down."

After McKinley left, I exhaled. "Ready to interrogate some druggies?"

Dante shrugged, "I got nothing better to do."

We drove down to the station and started the interrogation. Most of them refused to answer and wanted a lawyer. I was waiting on the one that would crack through the pressure. I glanced over the list of suspects that were arrested. I decided to aim for the youngest one and the one that barely joined in. Usually, the fear of jail would get to them, especially if it would be their first time n jail.

"So, Evan," Dante began. Evan was a seventeen year and the newest member. He had a pretty clean record compared to all the others that were arrested. I knew that Dante and I were going to crack him. "You did pretty good in school before you dropped out. Why did you drop out?"

"I don't need school," Evan answered confidently. "There's no point in learning something that I probably won't need in my future."

"I feel you on that," I agreed. "I didn't need to know shit about calculus, but I had to learn that. Calculus isn't a joke, just like your situation. Do you know the consequences for the laws you broke?"

"I know, it" Evan announced. "Too bad I don't care."

"Let me tell you something, Evan." I sat down in the chair across from him. "My older brother was probably about your age when he got arrested for selling drugs and breaking a few other laws that you'll break down this path. We're seven years a part. He barely got out of jail when I finished graduation. He told me some pretty crazy stories about what happened in jail. Let me tell you, none of them have a happy ending."
