Sequel to Broken

He was alone.

Scott had moved out a couple days prior to Mitch's birthday, choosing to stay with his boyfriend instead.

Nearly a year ago, the popular a cappella group had disbanded, the members wanting to lead their own lives without the distraction of their music career.

Mitch sighed, staring at himself in the full-body mirror. He lifted up his shirt and poked his stomach, which had.. expanded since they had broken up. He had simply given up on himself after it happened, and it just got worse when Scott left. Superfruit was over too, split forever.

Oh, fuck. I'm so fat.. he thought, poking his stomach again. and ugly.. he continued, rubbing his face. just overall imperfect.

With a heavy heart, he moped into his room and collapsed onto the bed, tears flowing freely from his chocolate eyes. Mitch reached for his phone and pressed he home button, letting out a high-pitched wail when he saw the lock screen wallpaper. It was a photo of Pentatonix, merely a week before they disbanded. Everytime Mitch laid eyes upon the picture, sadness filled his heart.

Mitch, unwilling to keep acting this way, wiped away his tears and rolled onto his back, holding his phone in the air above him. He unlocked it and went straight to his Photos app, clicking on the album titled "PTX❤️". Mitch scrolled through the photos and videos. They were dated in a precise order, he had made sure of that in his time alone. It started with the video of the Trio performing "Telephone". The one posted on YouTube.

Next were the Sing-Off days. A picture during and after each performance, including rehearsals. A link to the videos on YouTube was inserted. Then, their first album. PTX Vol. 1. More photos. Volume 2, Volume 3, PTXmas. That's Christmas to Me, the original album. Two songs off of their upcoming album that was never finished or released.

Mitch smiled at the photos and videos. They had won two Grammys in their time as a band, which could've been more if they hadn't split up.

He then exited the app and went to Twitter, scrolling through each member's feed. He still followed them after a year.

Scott had moved on. After a falling out with Alex, he had moved to date another man named Jackson. They have been in a relationship for six months.

Next was Kirstin. She had also had a falling out and reconnected with Jeremy, almost immediately after the break-up of the band. He had proposed a week before. Mitch smiled at the engagement photos and moved on.

Avi. He was still helping with Acapella Academy and releasing his own albums. Mitch clicked on a link to listen to them. He had nearly forgotten how beautiful and deep Avi's voice was.

Kevin was in a similar state, plenty of albums and collaborations. He began vlogging on YouTube and quickly became popular. He was perhaps the most successful.

Mitch sighed, jealous, when he remembered.

It would be their anniversary in two days. Oh my God, what if I can get us all together again for a last Hurrah? He wondered, his eyes bright with hope.

Nah, they would never agree to it. Too busy, they would say.

Nevertheless, he went to iMessage and scrolled down to a year earlier. He had so many chats with many people, and it took him a full four minutes to find it. The group chat, entitled "My Babes". Mitch opened it and typed an assortment of different speeches before settling on something short and sweet.

"Let's meet up. Los Angeles, Starbucks. Tomorrow at noon. One more time."

He attached a cut clip from their "Daft Punk" video of himself singing a snippet of "One More Time".

"Please." he added to the message.
