Chapter 3: Laxus' "Game"

Levy's eyes widen as a burst of cheers erupted through the guild.

W-wow.. I was not expecting anyone to cheer for me.. She thought.

A huge smile was smacked across her lips as she walked out into the light of the stage.

"Hey minna!" Levy boasted as she raised her arms up.

"KAWAII!!!" A group of men shouted.

Levy blushed and motioned her hands to send out her magic. With some sparkle and shine, her word magic appeared around her. There were sparkly words, and metallic words, and even a word with a butterfly pattern. It was marvelous and everyone roared in applaud. Levy bowed and made her way off stage to get ready for the next round.

"Next up is Lu-chan.." She whispered to herself.

"Girls and boys. This blonde beaut will surely sweep you off your feet. Please welcome Lucy Heart-"

"Wah! Don't say my last name!!" she squeaked in the mic, running out on stage awkwardly. It was silent and everyone stared at her until she finally began.

"Eh.. I'm going to be doing a cheer with my spirits!" She announced.

Everyone began clapping and cheering. All the men were howling due to her Cheerleading outfit.

Suddenly an unknown voice interrupted the performance.

"If you want beauty. There's me. If you want charm, you have me. If you want a Miss Fairy Tail, there's me. For I am a Fairy after all.." The voice echoed through the silent guild.

"Hmmm.. I think we already have a winner here!" She gloated as she stepped out to reveal herself. It was Evergreen of the Raijinshuu, Laxus' personal guards.

"Evergreen?!" Elfman and Gray screeched.

"Haha." Evergreen chuckled as she fiddled with her glasses.

"Wait I haven't even performed yet!!" Lucy whined as she approached Evergreen.

"Lucy don't look in her eyes!" Natsu warned.

"Hm?" Lucy turned to face her.

Evergreen slid her glasses down and peered into Lucy's eyes. Right then and there Lucy's body was turned to stone. The audience was sent in chaos as the town's people scurried out of the guild as quick as possible.

"Lucy!!" Happy and Natsu cried.

"Evergreen... What's the meaning of this?!" The master demanded an answer.

Evergreen stood her ground and giggled at Lucy's 'statue'.

"Old man..."

"....Laxus?" Makarov gasped.

"Haha that's right, gramps." Laxus laughed.

"You fiend what are you doing here?" The master interrogated.

"Well you see.. I'd like to play a little game..." He began, "I'm not a fan have having such weaklings in my guild. So in order to win this game, you'll have to defeat me and my Raijinshuu. Hahaha!" His minister laugh rung throughout their ears.

"As if I'll ever agree to this." Makarov spat.

"Well you'll have to if you want Lucy and the others to turn back." Laxus explained.

"Others?!" Gray and Natsu both glanced at each other.

Suddenly the curtain dropped and it revealed all the main female mages of the competition, who were all turned to stone. Levy. Juvia, Erza, Bisca, Lucy, Cana, and Mirajane's stone forms were all lined up.
