"I know, I know. I just worry for you. I want to make sure and know you're ok," Thor responds.

"I know you do. I'm just letting you know so you don't have to worry as much."

Thor remains silent. I get up and stretch. Everyone stares at me.

"Where are you going," Clint asked.

"I'm going to bed. I'm beat," I say.

Immediately I frown. I didn't mean it like that. Or to even say that. Everyone just stares.

"I meant tired. I'm just going to go now," I mumble.

I exit the room. I'm exhausted. It's late and the beating from Loki doesn't help. I don't know why were still up. Everyone else is probably in bed. We should be aswell. We need the rest.

I walked to my room. I open the door to meet darkness. I step into the darkness. I search for the light switch. Once it's found I flick the light on. My bed is a mess from jumping out of it to get ready. My clothes are sprawled on the floor from stripping and getting dressed into my battle armor.

I strip then pull on my pajamas. Afterwards I climb into bed. Sleep was a little harder to come by. My headache prevented it. Once it passed I finally fell asleep. ----I woke up feeling better than last night. I'm well rested. My body feels refreshed. A shower will probably make me feel better. Especially since I'm covered in dirt from being thrown around by Bruce.

I stretch. Great way to loosen up the body. Someone's next to me. Why is there someone next to me? I turn my head. It's Thor. He's still asleep. Why is he here? He was probably making sure I ok. If it makes him feel better.

I climb out of bed before gathering clothes. I exit my room and walk to a restroom. It's empty. I set down my clothes. I turn the water on before stripping. For the first few minutes I stand under the showerhead. The warm water relaxs my body. It doesn't too much though. I'm thinking about yesterday's skirmish. If that was only a little, then what will the battle be like? Pain and death. Civilians are probably going to die. We're going to get severely wounded. It's going to be hard to fight now. We don't even know what the future holds. Hopefully somehing good for us.

I quickly showered after that. I dressed and headed back to my room. I opened the door. Thor is sitting at the end of my bed. He was looking down. Now he's looking at me. He has a fresh pair of clothes on.

"Morning," I say not too enthused.

Thinking about the war has soured my mood a bit.

"Morning," Thor mumbles.

I set aside the dirty clothes. I sit next to Thor. He wraps his arm around my shoulder.

"What's wrong," I ask.

"I couldn't sleep last night. I came to you for comfort. It worked," Thor replies.

I frowned before looking up at him. He's staring at a wall.

"Comfort from what," I ask.

"Last night. I've been thinking about it, and what could possibly happen. Losing you came to mind. No matter how many times I told myself I wouldn't, it didn't go away. I figured sharing the bed with you would make it," Thor says.

I hug Thor sideways.

"You'll never lose me. I will never you. I promise," I say.

Thor hugs me back. His head is buried in my neck. I don't think I was only trying to convince him, but myself. After what happened in Vermont, I can't lose any of them.

"We will never lose each other," Thor says in a promising tone.

We have each other's back. 'Til the end we have each other. Whichever ends it is, it doesn't matter. We'll still have each other.

"Better," I ask.

"Yes. Thank you," Thor says.

"Don't worry about it. I take care of my friends," I say.

"Time for breakfast?"

"Definetly."

We released each other then stood up. Thor is now smiling. Seeing him smiles puts one on my face.

"Let's go," I say.

Thor and I walk out. We head to the cafeteria together. Tony, Natasha, Fandral, and Hogun are already in here. Sif is walking in behind us. The three of us gathered food before sitting with the other four. As we sat everyone exchanged their hello or morning.

"So, what's the plan now," I ask.

"Since Steve's gone we don't have a plan. Fury wants to discuss it with all of us," Tony responds.

"When?"

"After everyone's had breakfast. He wants to get foods in us. We need the energy."

It gets quiet after that. Everyone is too busy eating.

"I'm pretty sure this is one everyone else's mind mind. What the battle is going to be like," Natasha says.

"It'll be rough. What we saw was only a little," Fandral says.

"We'll have to try our hardest," Thor says.

"Especially since Bruce is on Loki's side. Sif suffered from a dislocated arm and head gash. I have a head injury aswell," I say.

Everyone remains quiet. Suddenly Tony speaks up.

"How's your shoulder," Tony asked Sif, changing the topic.

I don't think anyone wants to spend a whole lot of time talking about the battle. We all know it's going to be tough. We're going to have to push ourselves harder than usual.

"Hurts," Sif says.

"How's everyone by the way? I didn't really get to talk to you guys after getting back last night," Tony says.

Everyone grumbled 'ok' or 'a little sore.' We're all still hurting from last night.

-----

It was about half an hour to fourty-five minutes later when everyone arrived and ate. After everyone ate we didn't waste any time heading to the meeting room. There they decided what the plan should be. Tony and Thor have been going at it for fourty-five minutes now. Tony wants to wait for another attack. Thor is sticking to his usual ways. He wants to charge in. Sif and The Warriors Three sided with Thor. Besides that no one else including me has said anything. Their too busy watching.

"We can't go charging in. You saw what happened last night. We all got hurt. Some not as bad as others. What we need is to rest up and wait for an attack," Tony says.

"We can't wait. What happens if Loki is causing mayhem while we're 'resting up?' We need to attack while we can," Thor says in return.

I've had enough of their bickering. They're not going to get anywhere if they keep bickering.

I stand up. Everyone looks at me.

"Enough! We can't go charging in. You saw what happened last night. We'll get crushed if we head right to the base. The base we don't know where it's located. We can't go where the WHOLE army is. We can't sit and wait around either. We need to get ready. What we need to do is-," I say.

"Assemble," Clarice says, finishing for me.

This isn't a new chapter. It's my one I updated a month ago. I got an email that said it updated but apparently it didn't. So, I had to rewrite it. Which wasn't too hard because it let me read this chapter. I wrote on another device, emailed, copied, the pasted. If there's any spelling errors, sorry. I was tired when writing. I'll try to update this weekend. That depends if I'm not busy from school. I've had homework everyday since school started. So, I haven't had much time to update. Well, I hoped you guys liked this chapter. I did, especially Clarice's finishing part. I'll try to update again soon. Thanks for reading.
