Annabeth never really likes those fancy dates. It was too formal, strict, and not nearly as fun as a normal day on the beach with Percy.
That's why when Percy proposed, it was when they were ankle deep in ocean water, splashing around, when he dropped to one knee, forgot the speech and of course, Annabeth said yes. That was her favorite moment of all. The sheer joy she had experienced that day. With no formal dresses or any makeup, being all that she was. Not someone she wasn't.
