Part Two: Old Faces

Emmy giggled and leaned down – though only slightly as she really didn't tower over Luke anymore – and whispered in his ear.

"Here's a secret, Luke. You were always a gentleman."

Luke's cheeks exploded crimson red, and Emmy, satisfied her work was done, leant back and now addressed Clark, holding out her hand. Clark took it and shook.

"Emmy Altava, investigative journalist. You must be Clark Triton."

Clark raised an eyebrow.

"Well someone has clearly done her research," he noted.

"Not quite. I remember you from the Auriolus trial in the States two years back. You really turned the tables on that trial."

It was Clark's turn to blush now.

"Please, it was Phoenix and the Professor. I really did nothing."

"Actually," Emmy grinned, waving her finger to address his point. "The Professor is what brings me here today."

Luke stepped forward excitedly then.

"So you know about the prophecy?"

"What prophecy?"

Luke and Clark frowned at each other, and then explained.

"Ah," Emmy murmured. "I see. That is a predicament." She adopted a lighter tone then. "But it isn't anything the three of us can't handle, right?"

Luke sighed then, fiddling with his hat.

"I'm afraid we have no clues. We were hoping to go see the Professor."

Clark crossed his arms, brow creasing.

"Mrs Altava, you did say you might be able to help us."

Emmy shook her head quickly then.

"Oh no, just Miss Altava, thank you. Haven't found the right man yet."

Luke noticed her eyes grow distant then. This was rather curious. Love was a puzzling beast.

"And yes," she continued, reaching into her camera pouch then. Flicking through her camera, she brought up a photo, swivelling the camera around to show them. "I took this photo just yesterday."

Luke and Clark squinted their eyes, unable to believe what they were seeing. The photo showed the skyline of London, except a massive airship was turning dramatically away before colliding with a large skyscraper.

"And if you look closer," she remarked, zooming in on the photo, They could just see a barrel-chested figure leaping towards the airship. As small as the figure was, there was no mistaking who it was.

"Inspector Grosky..." Luke breathed.

"Now what do you suppose he was doing leaping towards the Bostonius?" Emmy winked, placing her camera away back in her trusty pouch.

"That was the... Bostonius?"

"Indeed. Or rather, mark two. You see after I took the photo, I did a little digging. It turns out the police had commissioned a second airship be made, as the first Bostonius remains missing to this day." She gave Luke a knowing look. They were both aware that Descole had taken the original Bostonius away with him. "I asked around the station, and they kept telling me it was classified information. Now, if I had Inspector Grosky, or Chief Inspector as he's known now, then I could have gained the information I needed. Unfortunately, I'm pretty much an unknown civilian to many of the officers there.

"What I did learn, however, from some rather impressive digging, I might add, is that the Bostonius was called out in response to an emergency situation. Then I found out some even juicier news."
