(This is a one shot that contains same-sex relationships,

if that's not your cup of tea, continue on, please )

Jealousy, that's what you felt

You watch as Tamaki follows Haruhi around the music room, proclaiming his love for her. The feeling of unease settled in the depths of your stomach.

You were jealous and it was all because of him, Tamaki. Your name is y/n l/n, an in closet (to an extent) pansexual. Your parent(s), assured you it was just a phase and it'll be over soon, but they were more than wrong.

But because of that, you could never really open about your sexuality. Coming from a very traditional family, any forms of 'abnormality' was a no-no, hush-hush situation. From there, it's always been a secret, however, it was different here, you felt welcomed here.

This wouldn't be a problem among the host club, The only reason you kept it a secret was because of your feelings for Fujioka Haruhi.

"Senpai, please, I have to study with y/n." her voice filled with annoyance as she continued to make a distance from the blonde haired boy.

"That's okay, Haruhi, we can study together." Tamaki insists.

If it weren't for him being an upperclassmen and the president of this club, you would've punched him, dead. in. the. face.

Anyone could tell by the look on her face and the tone in her voice, Haruhi was beyond annoyed. She's always been the student to take her studies seriously, besides she wanted to be a lawyer, and with that, it requires a massive amount of study time.

However, Tamaki was determined to take up as much time as he could, to the point it was inconsiderate. You watch as both, Hikaru and Kaoru approach the oddly arranged pair. Hikaru and Kaoru were now standing next to Haruhi.

Trouble written all over them, head to their toes, "Come on, boss. Haruhi and y/n want to be alone." they say in unison as a smirk lingers on their faces. Tamaki's violet eyes shift between the trio and you.

With that, a look defeat fell on his face "But, my daughters." he murmurs softly.

After a pregnant pause, you finally decide to walk towards the now small group of teens. "Hey Haruhi, are you ready to study with me?" you ask as you then greet her with a welcoming smile.

She wiggles free from both the twins and Tamaki, maneuvering over towards you. "Yeah, I am. Come on." she replied.

"We'll be in the second library, if you need us." You say as Haruhi then takes your hand, "Come on, before the library become full," she continues, as she leads you out of the music room. The feeling of your heart pounding against your chest, filled you with anxiety.

'I'm surrounded by imbeciles, when I say imbeciles, I specifically mean Tamaki and y/n. Surely, the two must have the slightest amount of common sense.

But I could be wrong, surely y/n Haruhi isn't an idiot, although she has some moments. But that's ignorant glee, she was more of a book smart kind of girl than 'relationship, crushes' smart.

However, even Haruhi knew exactly what was going on. Especially with y/n, it's just the matter of confronting her about it. y/n isn't too careful about expressing internal emotions either.'

The sound of Tamaki moping in the corner catches my attention. My eyes shift towards him, before looking back down in my black book. A sigh escapes my lips as I await his response.

"Mommy." he murmurs.

"Yes, Daddy?" I answer, as my body remain at a halt. I could feel myself fill with cringe and embarrassment. Looking up from my black book, I place my full attention onto him.

"Do you think y/n likes my little girl?" he asks as he pokes his fingers together. Fixing my glasses, I look at him, "If I am correct, I think so." I reply him, of course I knew that, I practically know everything.

I watch as Tamaki grabs a hold of his hair and shake his head as if he was trying to forget a horrid dream.

"Say boss, is something wrong?" the twins question.

"Yes! y/n , my little girl likes Haruhi, my other little girl! Daddy is not happy!" Tamaki exclaims in disbelief.

Both twins roll their eyes, "Come on, boss. You can't just think you can change that, it's not fair and it makes you selfish." Hikaru begins to speak. Tamaki opens his mouth to counter him.

"Tamaki, there is no way for you to convince someone to change how they feel. I can assure you, even if Haruhi came out as pansexual or even bisexual you'd be happy. Am I wrong?" I question him.

A frown lingers on his face, "But, Haruhi--" he mumbles.

"There's nothing we can do, nor change. It's not right, think logically for once and not about yourself."  I say.

"Tama-Chan, shouldn't you be happy for them if they do become a couple?" Honey Senpai asks.

"I suppose so." he whines.

"I don't understand this question." You say pointing to the math problem.

Haruhi sighs as she had then went over it again, "You have to times the variable with the exponent." she explains. Even though, you understood everything, you couldn't help but ask her to explain it again, just to hear her voice. You watch as her brown hair moved ever so slightly as she compare your all's notes.

"y/n? Are you paying attention?" she asks as her eyes shifts up from the paper and looks at you.

Your face flushes in embarrassment as found yourself lost in her eyes, your heart raced once more as you notice, her large brown eyes staring back into your e/c ones. Already a flustered mess, your eyes moves down to the problem as you pretended to work on the problem before you.

She raises an eyebrow and looks at your face, "y/n, what's wrong?" she asks. She couldn't seem to understand why you were so shy, perhaps you were catching on to her noticing your little crush.

"I like you." You blurt out, it was as if your mouth had a mind of its own. Realizing what you just said, you cover your mouth quickly. She blinks as she continues to look at you, "Wait what?" she asks, 'Bingo' Haruhi thinks.

You shake your head and kept your mouth covered. Haruhi smiles at you warmly before a small belly filled laugh escaped her lips., "Why didn't you say so? I accept your feelings, y/n. You know, you're really bad hiding how you feel." she replies.

Your heart pounds in your chest, you were relieved she didn't freak out. But you also couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed. Were you always that easy to read? For reassurance you slowly uncover your mouth, you need to hear it one more time. Just to confirm you weren't going crazy.

"Wait, so you're not disgusted?" You forward your eyebrows in confusion.

She shakes her head, "Gender shouldn't really say who you can and cannot love. Love is for everyone, boy, girl, non-binary, gender fluid, there's all types of genders. They should be able to love who they want. To tell you the truth, I knew your feelings for me the whole time." she spoke with such elegancy.

"Huh, why didn't you say anything?" You ask .

Another  laugh escapes her lips, "I was waiting for you to say something, I'm not really good at confessions, they make me feel weird, but I'm glad you finally said it. Also, like I said, you're very easy to read." she adds. You could feel the ponderous weight of anxiety be lifted up and out of your chest. "But now you did, and I'm happy." she says with a smile.

"Me too."
