Chapter 5: An Explaination

Zoey's P.O.V.

Mama Ana woke me up the next morning telling me that breakfast would be ready in 10 minutes. I checked the clock on the night stand and it said that it was only 9 in the morning, but hey it was better than waking up at 6 in the morning to eat breakfast and get ready for school.

I walked into the bathroom and did my morning routine: wash face, brush teeth, comb hair, use bathroom. When I was done I put on a bra and headed downstairs.

When I reached the kitchen the smell of bacon and chocolate chip waffles filled my nose. Wow that smells good. Mama Ana was setting the food down on the kitchen island while Director Smith sat there reading something on his iPad while drinking coffee.

"Good morning Zoey. Did you have a good nights rest?" Mama Ana asked

"Good morning, yes I did thank you." Even though it wasn't totally true, I did fall asleep but I could only dream about Hunter. "How about you?" I asked, while sitting at the island

"That's good to hear darling, I also had a good night sleep, thank you for asking." She replied

"Not to be rude or anything, but Director Smith what are you still doing here? Your usually at headquarters by this time."

"Well I called in and told them that I would be working from home today. Plus I want to find out why you are here, it's not like you to leave in the middle of a mission."

"Ok thats understandable." I replied

"Well before we start to talk about that, why don't we eat some breakfast." Mama Ana suggested

She handed me a plate and I piled on 2 choco. waffles, 2 strips of bacon, and a spoonful of eggs. We all ate and when we were done I helped her clean up the dishes.

"Well since the cleaning is done, I think it's time to talk about why you're here." Director Smith said. I responded by nodding my head. "Well let's talk in my office."

We all walked to his office, when we got there I sat on the couch while he and Mama Ana sat across from me.

"So please tell me what the problem is." Director Smith said

"Well I don't know if it's just in my head or even if it's possible but I think, but then again what if I' m wrong, but.....-" I rambled on before Director Smith cut me off. "What is it?"

"IthinkIhaveamate." I said looking down at the floor.

"What? Can you please repeat that but a lot slower please." He said

"I think I have a mate." I repeated

"Wow, ok that's not what I was expecting." Director Smith said

"But I'm not for sure because I don't even know if humans can have mates." I added

"Well I'm not sure how I can really help you with that Zoey." Director Smith said. Mama Ana then slapped him on his arm. "Ouch what was that for?" He asked looking confused.

"That's why I'm hear honey, of course your no help in a situation like this." Mama Ana said.

I couldn't help myself from laughing at their cute banter. They maybe old but they are cute when they have their mini fights, but don't tell them that especially the old part. Haha.

"Ok now Zoey even though you are a human there's still a chance for you to have a mate even though it is rare." Mama Ana said

"Even if he's a soon to be alpha?" I questioned
