Chapter 1: First Day of School

                                               First Day of School 

It's Monday morning and I really don't want to go to school today. Why do they have to make it start early? Even though it starts at 8 it's still early. You would think with the training I've done, that I would be able to wake up in the morning easily but that is an understatement. Sometimes Carlos would have to come over to my house and pour water on my head to get me up, and he's done it plenty of times but I still haven't learned my lesson.

I wish they would just let us start school tomorrow cause we only finished setting up our rooms yesterday. Sure Director Smith said that the house would be set up, but our rooms weren't so we had to, which I didn't really mind setting up but we all procrastinated a lot so it took us a lot longer to finish. Oh well might as well get up and get ready before they barge in here and try doing something new to wake me up.

I stand up and stretch my arms in the air, then headed to the bathroom thats connected to my room. I brushed my teeth and then walked out to my walk in closet. I don't really need it, cause I don't have that much clothes and I'm not into shopping that much. I decided to wear my grey sweater with a panda on it with a white tank top underneath, my black shorts and red vans. Then I went back into the bathroom to put my hair in a mini-poof then put my black beanie on and did a once over glance a the full body mirror, then headed down stairs to the kitchen.

When I down there I saw that Carlos and his mom were both in the kitchen. Mama J (Carlos's mom) was at the stove cooking bacon, while Carlos was stuffing his face with chocolate chip waffles. Carlos was wearing a black t-shirt, khaki pants and black and red Jordan's.

"Good morning." I greeted as I walked towards the island.

"Good morning sweetheart, sit down and eat some breakfast before Carlos eats it all." She said while putting the rest of the bacon on an empty plate, then turning to Carlos and scolding him, "You better not finish all the food. Remember the last time you didn't leave Loretta any food?"

At the reminder of Loretta he slowed the pace he was eating at. Haha, the last time he ate all the food Loretta got mad at him and refused to talk to him, even though it only lasted about an hour, he couldn't stand it from then on he always left food for her. I grabbed a plate and put 2 chocolate chip waffles, a spoon full of eggs, and a few pieces of bacon; and sat down next to Carlos at the island.

Once I sat down Loretta came down the stairs, wearing a red shirt with a bass and treble clef making a heart, dark blue skinny jeans, and black combat boots with her braided hair tied up, she greeted everybody 'good morning' while pilling food on to her plate then sitting on the other side of Carlos. After we finished eating we put our dishes in the sink and thanked Mama J for breakfast.

"Your welcome kids, have a good day at school." She said, as we headed out to Carlos's black charger.

The drive to school was only 10 minutes long and once we got to the school parking lot it was already half way filled. We found a parking spot in the middle and started to walk to the front of the school. Once we get near the steps of the school kids started to stare at us and whisper things to each other. Like hello we're right here and we can hear you. Man people these days.

After ignoring all the loud whispers and staring we walked into the office. Sitting at the front desk was a middle aged woman with wavy brown hair, she was busy typing this on to the computer. She looked up and saw all 3 of us in front of her, as the door shut.
