Chpt 1: Forgetting

Author's P.O.V~

They had been friends since the 5th grade; Jeon Jungkook and Park Jimin. Jungkook loved Jimin as a brother and vice versa: they had grown up together, gone to high school together. Jimin was a small kid but he was the oldest,17, and Jungkook, being 15, was tall for his age.

Jungkook was a smart kid, skipping some grades in order to be in classes with Jimin.  The two friends were singers. They were in every after school class that involved singing, which was just choir. Jimin was always in doubt of his ability to sing, but he could. Jungkook on the other hand knew he could sing and was good at it.

Jungkook P.O.V~

It is Jimini's B-day and I have a big surprise. I've made him believe that I forgot but I'm throwing him a surprise party with just me and him. I'll go to his house and call him telling him to come home. Then, I'll wait on the stairs with his cake and my surprise.

Jimin P.O.V~

Jungkook has forgotten my birthday, again! He calls me up like nothing. I'm hurting inside; this is the second time he has forgotten. I love him but he is my best friend and shouldn't forget my birthday like this.

Jungkook P.O.V~

I hear the door rattle I jump up from sitting on the stairs. Jimin walks in and I start to sing him happy birthday: "Saeng il chuk ha ham ni da, saeng il chuk ha ham ni da, sarang ha neun Jimini shi, saeng il chuk ha ham ni da!" I can see his face light up with a big grin. When he smiles I smile. He gives me butterflies.

"Jungkook-ah I though you forgot. I was holding back tears of sadness," he says as a tear fell out of his eye.

"Yeah well you're still crying." I say chuckling, wiping a tear from his eye.

"These are happy tears Kookie! Happy tears!" he says hugging me.

"Jimini before we get to the happiness and hugging, let me put the cake down and tell you the surprise I have for us!" I say with a big smile

"Oh yeah okay," He says with a grin.

Jimin P.O.V~

My heart started beating twice as fast when he said he had a surprise. We walked over to the table he looks at me I feel worried.

"Umm Kookie?"

"Sorry I'm just so excited!"

"It's fine," I say smiling "what is the surprise?"

"Well remember when we said we always wanted to be singers?"

"Yeah of course."

"Well...." He pauses, "I got us an audition to be a next kpop band!"

"WHHAAAT! No way. Uhh I dunno if I can,"

"We're doing a duet. The Christmas song?"

"Yeah I know what song, bu-" as he cuts me off.

"Cool! Well It's a really hard audition to get into. There can only be 7 members. And maybe you and me could be in a kpop together?!"

"Bu- but what if we don't make it or only one of us makes it?"

"I promise Jimin well make it together!" He smiles and I step on my tippy toes to kiss him on the cheek as we sit down to eat our cake. I look at him and just think 'I love you Jungkook'...
