Dominic
No one told me anything.
I asked people desperately do information, but everyone either ignored me or simply said "No."
After 20 minutes of being turned down, I figured I was dead when Giles walked in.
"Case-stating time?" I asked.
"No," he said, "not yet. The killer has asked me to from now on give you a riddle. Here it is-
'Child's play, numbers and dots. Find all four, and die you will not. Look left to right, look in between. You'll solve the murder, you'll know what it means.'
The estate bell will ring when the final clue is found. You then will have 20 more minutes to share information. That is all. Good luck!" And with that, he walked away.
Matt
What. Was. That.
I had always been terrible with riddles, but this particular one made no sense. I tried to take it in one section at a time.
Child's play.
Immediately, I thought of the game room. I ran there, Dominic and Simon right behind me.
"Numbers and dots..." I said to myself. "Guys, what games have numbers and dots?"
Dominic rattled off a very long list of games. Checkers, chess, darts, pool, and a bunch of others I didn't catch. I looked at the pool table first, while Simon looked at the dart board and Dominic checked out the checkers table.
Find these four and die you will not.
I looked at the 4 ball but nothing stood out.
Look left to right, look in between.
I spun the ball around clockwise, then did the same with all the other balls.
Nothing.
I figured that was it for me. I had almost no information, and now I didn't know what the riddle even meant. Dominic looked really confused and Simon didn't even know what he was doing. Before I could even finish feeling sorry for myself, the estate bell rang.
Time was up.

This was going to be the easiest riddle I had ever solved. Since I read the note in Alex's room earlier, I immediately made the connection of 'numbers and dots' to dominos. I started looking around the house for dominos. I figured that the game room would be the most obvious place to look, and the killer would never be obvious about something. After a few minutes of running around, I looked behind my shoulder to see if I was being followed.
In that moment of looking backwards, I remembered seeing a box of dominos on the fireplace back in the foyer. I swore and turned around, desperately hoping no one was already there.
When I finally got to the foyer, I saw Bella and Taylor looking around. I couldn't believe they hadn't found it yet. I quietly ran over the fireplace and looked on the top. I breathed a sigh of relief. I had found the dominos, lined them up, and looked at them. The first one had a picture of a gun, the second a tripwire, the third a crossbow, and the last a dead body. I knocked them all down and the estate bell rang.
I solved the riddle.
I knew exactly how this murder happened.
And I was going to live another day.
