May

After Logan was pronounced dead by Dominic, Giles came and told everyone to gather in the foyer.

"I was afraid that it would start this early."

"What are you talking about?!" Alex shouted angrily.

"The killing. Logan's death was tragic, but imminent. And each one of you must figure out how the killer killed him or you may be next to die. You must fit the pieces of the puzzle together by searching for clues in one of these areas: Logan's last known whereabouts, or his room, the house morgue, or the scene of the crime. You have 5 minutes to choose which one you will look, you will have 20 minutes to investigate, 20 minutes to share your information with your fellow detectives, then it's off to state your case. Your 5 minutes starts... Now."

Dominic

Being a doctor, I naturally chose the morgue, along with John, Simon, and May. The four of us walked into the morgue, staring at Logan's cold, dead body.

"Where do we start?" Simon asked.

"Usually we check for external wounds, but... There aren't any." I replied.

"Look, his throat's all swollen," May pointed out.

"Oh yeah," I walked over to his head. "Woah." There was this weird brown powdery stuff at the back of his mouth.

"What?" John asked and walked over. "Oh. Yeah, that's definitely significant."

We looked around for anything else, but the time was soon up.

Matt

Bella, Dan, Lily, and I chose to go to the last known whereabouts. When we got there, I saw that his computer monitor light was on. I walked to it and turned on the screen.

"What's on the screen?" Dan asked me.

"It looks like... Hospital records. Why would he have his own records open? Unless it wasn't him..." It was open to the space about allergies. It said he was allergic to roses, which is what he said at dinner. I didn't tell anyone else in the room but Dan.

I whispered to him, "Maybe the killer turned on the Internet, and was able to get into Logan's files?"

"No," he said, "you need a confidential password to get into those!"

Just then, the girls searching his bed found a perfectly clean knife carelessly laying on the floor.

"Uh, guys? I think there's something important here." May said as she held up the knife.

"Yeah," I said.

We continued looking around the room for more evidence, but to no avail. After 15 minutes, the estate bell rang and our time was up.

Taylor

Sam, Dylan, Alex and I were the only people to choose the crime scene. Dylan was distracted by the 'amazing' architecture. While Sam and I looked for clues. She noticed that Logan's cupcake had a weird brown powder flowing out of the side.

"What is that?" She asked.

"What?" Dylan suddenly grew interested.

"This brown stuff."

"It almost looks like... Cinnamon." He stuck a finger in and licked it. "Yeah, that's definitel cinnamon."

We looked around a little bit more, but soon the bell rang and our time was up.
