***********
Afternoon classes passed without me noticing. I was preoccupied with a lot of thoughts.

Kenji Haruki. He was a renowned man for being mysterious. Everyone knows his name but nobody ever knows his background. Many adored him, and unfortunately, I was one of the stupid being who was bewitched by him. I repeat, WAS bewitched...meaning it's all in the past now. I was just being an idiot back then...but I have my sanity back with me now.

Why would someone as famous as he, join our little sleuth club? Is he a fan of crimes and mystery? Well, for me, he IS the mystery. And why does he have a very strong influence on the SSC? Who is he really?

My train of thoughts was disrupted by the ringing of bells, signaling the end of homeroom. As if on reflex, I stood up and headed to our club room.

Malayo pa lang ako, naririnig ko na ang ingay ni Amanda sa loob.

"So our club focuses on everything that is out of ordinary! We listen, observe and see everything! We solve cases!"

Binuksan ko ang pinto. My eyes scanned the whole room, and it stopped when it landed on the very epitome of my vendetta. He was wearing his casual clothes. Hindi siya naka uniform ngayon...bakit kaya? But why am I concerning myself with this? Ugh...this is normal. Typically, there are only three things a human brain cannot ignore. Those are food, danger and good-looking people. So this is normal. I hate to admit it, but he is certainly good looking. But like I said, I moved on from my feelings for him. I am just merely appreciating one of the almost perfect handiworks of the Almighty. Nothing more.

Natigil sa pagsasalita si Amanda. Napatingin siya sa akin.

"Hey! You're late Rei!"

"Sorry." I answered...my voice non-apologetic. I proceeded to an empty seat. "So what did I miss?"

"Oh. Nothing much. Just orienting our new member here!" At itinuro niya si Kenji.

"Yeah, Yeah....such high energy." And I slumped to my seat.

Naramdaman kong tinignan ako ni Kenji, I didn't confirm though if he did look at me. Wala akong pake.

"So do we get cases from time to time?" Kenji inquired.

Amanda fidgeted a bit. "Uhm...yeah, occasionally. Hehe."

I butted in. "Oh, you mean rarely? Yes, we get to solve cases once a month, if my memory serves me right."

Halos wala talagang dumudulog dito sa amin para humingi ng tulong. Well, anong magagawa namin? We are merely a club with only 4 members. At naging lima na nga dahil sa pagsali ng lalaking yun.

"Don't worry. We'll have clients soon." He said with a knowing smirk.
