1st Chapter

It was the first day of class that spring day. Students were piling up on the buses, some were walking at the streets along with some people who were rushing for work. Though she couldn't see it from outside the car, she was pretty sure people were also bustling in the subways.

Her second year in high school was going to start that day. She didn't expect much for that school year. If anything else, she was feeling anxious about stepping inside the gates again. She was dreading it.

The car was already near the school gates and she could see the cherry blossom trees welcoming them through. It would be nice to walk in the path. It always seemed so wonderful in television shows.

"Please stop the car, Minhyuk-ssi. I'll get down from here." She said in a soft tone.

Minhyuk glanced at the young lady from the rearview mirror. "Are you sure, agassi?"

She gave him a nod. Although bewildered, the young driver who was in his late 20's complied with the young lady's request. She went out of the car before he could even open it for her. Even in this one thing, she wanted to do it herself.

She stepped out of the car, breathing in the fresh morning air that was mixed with the sweet scent of the cherry blossoms. It was such a shame that these beautiful trees only last for two weeks during spring.

"Please lend me your bag, agassi. I'll walk you to the gates." Minhyuk held out his hands.

"It's fine. I'll walk by myself." She told him and started walking the path.

"But agassi --"

She gave him a kind smile and bowed her head a little, as a sign of parting. After years of working under the Bae family, specifically being the young lady's driver, Minhyuk had learned that if she had set her mind on something, there was no way she could be swayed.

There was still a few minutes before the opening ceremony would start so she took her time admiring the cherry blossoms. It was such a breather to have moments like this to herself.

Some students already started accumulating on the path that she was walking in. She quickened her pace as she heard their whispers and caught some of their conversations that had been part of her life ever since.

"There she is! It's the Princess!" She heard one girl exclaim from her left side.

"Really? That's her? She's really pretty."

"Why is she walking here though? She's supposed to be in her car."

"Who cares? The scenery compliments her beauty."

"I want to be friends with her. Let's approach her."

"Are you crazy? She's like royalty. You can't easily get close with someone as precious and as graceful as the Princess."
