~~Chapter 2~~

I looked down at my paper, double checking my answers to make sure they were right before I turned my assignment in. It was Monday, and the first hour of the day on Monday morning is never fun. All of a sudden I heard the classroom door open. Turning my head, I saw a boy  about my age coming in. He was really good looking, but I didn't get my hopes up; I could already tell he was out of my league anyway. I noticed that all of the other girls looked like they were drooling over him. As I stared at him, he suddenly locked his eyes with mine. I looked down quickly, blushing.  The boy made his way over to the teacher's desk.

"Oh! You must be the new student," she said excitedly, handing him a piece of paper. "Umm, let's see. Well I guess you can sit next to Destiny, she has no one to sit by, and she'll show you what to do." The boy nodded politely and started to walk over to me. I kept my head down, hoping he wouldn't say anything to me because I was too shy to have a conversation with anybody. I heard him sit in the seat next to me and scoot his chair in.

"Hey," he said softly. I paused for a moment. Was he talking to me? I looked behind me, then at him. He was looking at me with his amazing blue eyes.

"Um, hi" I said shyly, looking down at my paper again.

"I'm Zach," he said, sliding his hand across the table for me to shake.

"I-I'm Destiny," I said quietly, reaching my hand for his, slowly. He took it and shook it gently, like he didn't want to hurt me.

"Well it's nice to meet you Destiny." he said softly again. "So I think you're supposed to tell me what to do." he said as he looked down at his paper then slowly made his way up to my eyes. I nervously pushed my paper closer to his blank one.

"Well, y-you have to balance the equation on both sides." I said shakily, pointing to number one on his sheet.

He laughed softly, placing his hand on mine and turning to me.  "No need to be shy sweetie, I'm not going to hurt you." he says, once again looking into my eyes. My eyes grew wide and my mouth opened slightly, but I couldn't speak. I stared at his warm, tingly hand that was on mine for a few seconds, then glanced at his smirking face.

"Mr. Williams, I understand that you're new here, but I would appreciate it if you stopped bothering my student and started to pay attention in class," the teacher said.

Zack quickly glanced to the left toward the front of the room with an annoyed expression on his face, then looked at me again. "Yes, ma'am," he said loudly, not breaking eye contact with me. Then, with a final wink, he took his hand off mine and faced the front of the room, leaving my hand cold again.

Sorry, most of these chapters are really short, but there are going to be a lot more. Also, I'm horrible at thinking of titles, so if you can think of a better title for the story, let me know.

Thanks for reading! :)
