James(Jammie P.O.V):

The cool air from my house made me calm, but there was a thick tension in the air. I hope mom wasn't on her monthly again, she is never a nice respectful mother, she just yells at me and my father. Me and him are seriously thinking about going on vacations for a week every month when she is on them. No joke.

"What's wrong with him, dear?" My father asks, from what I'm guessing be the kitchen. He never leaves there, only to watch football or to go to bed. Oh, and to work, but still!

At first, I thought he was talking about me, but I looked through the window that looked to the park that was located across the street from our house. There laid a guy dressed in all black clothing, sitting on the top of a bench, with his hands in his face.

He wore black skinny jeans, red Converse, and a dark red button up shirt that was rolled up to hiselbows. He has a few bracelets on, from what I could see. He had Dark hair that covered most of his face, and I was attracted to it. Although, my parents don't know I'm gay, nor do they need to. What I am wondering is, why is he here? I mean, not like I'm mad or anything about that.

I walk further down the stairs and head into the kitchen, to see my mother looking out the window with a disgusted face plastered all over her face. My father looked at me, giving me a small smile.

"Morning father, mother." I said, politely, before pouring myself some coffee.

"Morning Jammie, how was your sleep?" My father asks, finally taking his eyes off the guy in the window. I felt a little annoyed with how they were looking at him. Like I wanted to yell at my parents for looking at the sexy guy across the street in a rude way...

"Just fine. Really good. Thank you for asking, dad. How was your guys sleep?" I ask, pointing my finger between him and my mother who has still stubbornly not looked at me. Rude much!?

"Perfect. Hey James, you know this kid from school? He looks about your age.." My mother said, finally breaking the silent bond she made with me and my father.

Me and dad look at one another and shrug. "Nope. Haven't seen him around. Maybe he's new...." I say, trying to aggravate my mother even more. She already looks ticked off as it is.

"Do you know what ticks me off?" She snapps. Here we go again... " The fact that he is in our neighborhood! I mean, we pay lots of money for this house, and pay even more money for the gate that covers this neighborhood. So, why am I paying money for a gate that lets bums in my neighborhood?!" She yells, making me and my father back up warily.

"Mom! You don't even know the kid! He could be new, he could live a block away and just had a stressful morning! Leave the poor man alone. And if you have something bad to say about him, say it to his face, not behind a window!" I yell at my mother. My voice was high, and my father gave me a shocked expression that was also filled with a proud smile playing on his lips.

"First step in becoming a man - standing up for your mother. Good job son, I am very much so proud of you!" He cheered, ignoring my mother sending daggers at both me and my father.

"I'm going to talk to him." I say, and look at my father for permission. He grants it, and walks away from the kitchen, probably to the couch to read a cooking book.
