'Despair - Despair is a loss of Hope. A shadow of Darkness that covers all Light. A black sheet that envelopes the sun so no warmth can be let through. So that everything we see is Darkness, with not even the moon's glow to give us Hope. Despair is like a pit with smooth walls. Once we fall into despair, it's nearly impossible to get out. We don't have Hope of getting out. But when all hope seems lost, when we're in our darkest hour, then and only then, when we truly need to be saved, that one Light - the only true Light - the single Light that cannot be contained or hidden. It comes and fills us. It surrounds us completely so that not one glimpse of darkness is revealed. That light, that one special light, is the core of Hope, and nothing, not even Despair, can steal it from us.
