Don't go chasing waterfalls
Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to
I know that you're gonna have it your way or nothing at all
But I think you're moving too fast.

Ali's POV

I was attentively driving down the road in my  new car. I turned on the radio. Waterfalls by TLC rang through my car. I noticed a vehicle tailgating me, alarmingly close. I calmly continue, when they swiftly turn. All of a sudden BANG! A loud crunch came from the back of my car. My mind went blank. I heard a wail- I think it was my own. It was an abrupt incident. I didn't know what to say. The wind was knocked out of me.

My knuckles were white as I clutched the car door to exit my vehicle. As I stepped out of my car my heart sank. I wanted to vomit- because it was him- it was the person I had begin to fantasize over, my old friend. Will Mason. I don't know what I looked like- but I imagined it was a look of complete and utter shock. He looked afraid- his eyes were big like saucers, with a glazed but still fearful expression. He yelled at me "Please! Please just- don't say anything! Please! I'll pay you back, I'll fix this, I swear!" I gave a slow unsure, completely surprised nod and he darted like mad out of the scene. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know what to think. But my body kicked into action. I didn't even see the damage before I ripped the license plane of the back of his car. The road was pretty clear- no one saw me as I removed all identification from his car. He left his wallet in the cup holder- I grabbed it. I slid it into my glove box. Then I inspected the damage- not that bad. His car had gotten the worst end but I still was very upset about the dents in the back of my new car.

I noticed something in the passenger seat of his  car. "What the hell!" I exclaimed, again in complete shock. 4 beer bottles- I didn't even catch the brand. I still didn't want Will to hate me so I knew not to report him. I called the police.

I stated that an old man, around the age of 70, wearing a baseball cap and a red polo shirt departed the car and ran. I said there was no tag on the car. The police arrived shortly after. My car seemed to be in working condition, but they towed his car away. I was in shock. The back of my throat was dry. I just lied to the authorities. I realized. I lied and there's no turning back now.
