Chapter 1

*flashback*
Rico you're out of control and I can't
do this anymore. Last week when you hit me,  it was the final draw. And after making me abort our child , I finally see that you are NOT worthy to have my love and respect .

As the long drive was soon to be over in the next 20 minutes or so I thought about the letter I wrote my ex high school sweet heart Rico. Just 2 years ago my life was spiraling out of control. I couldn't imagine being here today with this fresh start. My name is Taylor Denese Townsley born in the overcrowded city of Biloxi , Mississippi . My whole life was based on fun , hard work, and education . I just graduated from Alcorn State University with a bachelors in Radiology Technology and just 3 weeks ago decided that's it's time to make my life greater by packing up and moving to Atlanta with my god sister Ann
until I get my own . As we pulled up to Ann's house I noticed a car. "You got company ?" I questioned. She hesitated at first and smiled deviously . "Christian" she simply stated with a slight grin . We got out the car and prepared to get the few heavy bags I got. I only bought a few of the many clothes I left back in Mississippi cause it's a new city , but different looks , styles , ect. and I had to be on point . Christian came outside and Ann introduced us . "Chris this Taylor , Taylor this is Chris." We shook hands and exchanged smiles . "Let me help y'all with these bags " Christian said . He took them up to the guest bedroom and Ann gave me a tour of her apartment . I must admit , this was a nice ass apartment . 3 bedrooms , a large kitchen , a dining room , 1 bathroom , and a garage . Not to mention the duck pond in the back . "Ann , do you think you can give me a tour of this beautiful city ? Maybe show me to some more apartments , a couple of car lots , and how to avoid rush hour traffic in the mornings" I joked . "Girl yes , we need to hit it anyways . I'll give you a minute to get washed up and we can grab a bite to eat in the process " said Ann. 30 minutes later I came down stairs in my sleeveless denim chambray shirt , some black tights , my hair in a neat bun , and some gladiator sandals with my brown Micheal Kors bag and Micheal Kors sunglasses . We got in Ann car prepared to first go apartment looking . "Girl , you smelling good who that is ?" Ann questioned . "That ain't nothing special , just some Versace " . "Baby I'm feeling that " she joked . We headed uptown to Hunters Manor apartment complex . A gated community huh . I got out the car and walked inside the office . "Hello , my name is Taylor Townsley and I was interested a pamphlet to see some apartments ". I told the little short lady wearing glasses . "Hi , im Weda and how about I get to know what you're looking for". I told her exactly what I was looking for and to my surprise , she offered me some helpful advice . "Sweetie , I heard you loud and clear when you said what you wanted , and I applude your extreme taste but Hunters Manor is more of a family apartment setting . The least we offer is a 3 bedroom with s starting price of $3,200 monthly" . They gots to be kidding. "Yes ma'am and I do appreciate you and your time , me and my roommates will have to discuss this further ". Yes , you do that and here is my card call if you have any further questions. Bye bye". I walked out the office and found Ann sleep . I knocked lightly on the window and she still jumped . "Took you long enough" she said . After a
Long day of apartment shopping and dealerships , I had some big deciding to do . I changed into my nite clothes and laid in the soft bed . This new city has me so comfortable already . I thought about my mom and dad . I know my mama probaly still a ball snot from me moving . I'll call her and check on her in the morning . Ann popped in and asked me how everything was going and was I comfortable. "I'm fine Ann thanks". "Oh hey , in the mornings I go running so if you want to join be up by 6:30 " . 6:30 I though to myself . Is she delirious . "Goodnight Ann , love you" I joked. "Goodnight sissy" and she was gone .
