Amethyst pulls Chuck away then speaks to him privately
"Uhh can I help you...miss.....your freaking me out."
"Relax relax, I'm Amethyst I've seen you before kid...soooo mind telling me what's up with you & Carter?"
"uhh wh-what do you mean?"
"You keep getting all red face whenever you see him. I know what that means. You like him!!!"
"Keep your voice down!! I uh don't like him I just get hot really fast..."
"Uh-huh well whenever you want to tell me, I'll be helping you out."
"N-no please don't!"
"Ah ha so you do like him. What's so bad about telling him how you feel? Carter is probably the nicest guy I know. You can ask him pretty much anything."
"I uh...just can't do it...I get really nervous....& feel like throwing up just trying to say it."
"Well here's my advice. When you see something you like just take a chance & go for it. because you may never get that chance again." Amethyst walks off
"Uhh..." Chuck starts sighing and heads to the lobby. Then enters a splatfest turf war at Blackbelly Skatepark.
"Okay..if I win this battle I'll tell Carter but if I lose, then I won't."
"Alright, if I win this battle then I'll tell Erika how I feel, but if I lose then I won't tell her at all." Karl says
"What did you say?"
"Uhh nothing Erika."
3...2....1.....SPLATFEST!! Chuck goes to the right halfpipe then heads into the middle, Karl inks his base & waits for enemies to show up
"Ok..I can do this...just gotta get up this tower."
"Erika turns into a kraken & chases Chuck down. But then he super jumps to someone's Beacon.
"Aw man he got away. I could see that from here."
"Karl the halfpipe area is getting inked."
"I'm on it"
Chuck throws a disrupter at him then splats him.
"Alright my first kill!..uh what do I do now?"
Karl then splats him immediately
"Ugh only one minute left and we're losing, pff not for long" Karl inks turf and gets his Killer Wail filled up, he fires it at 2 people. "nice! Hopefully that helps."
"Way to go, K." Karl then daydreams while looking at Erika "Are....you ok?"
"Huh yeah I'm just fine. But watch out behind you." Erika splats a person without trying
"Thanks. Man we make a great team."
"Y-yeah......um Erika there's something I've been meaning to tell you....I-"
The battle is then over and the results are up, the winners are Chuck's team.
"Wait what?? How did we lose? We so had them!"
"I guess it was a last minute win when we were talking. Don't worry though we'll win next time."
"Yeah...I guess your right."
"That was a good game." Chuck said
"Yeah well you won't be so lucky next time." Karl then walks off with Erika
"....uh I should probably get to-"
"CHUCK!!!" Jared screams
"Uhh yes?...who called me?"
"It's me Jared. We didn't exactly fully meet but have you seen a person named Karl around here?"
"Uhh I think so...yes he went that way but why do you want to fi-" Jared then runs really fast away
"Dang what's going on lately."
Meanwhile with Karl & his team
"Yo we lost. Ugh that's like the second loss so far."
"Don't feel too bad, we won a lot too." Erika comfort Karl
"Not too mention we SPLATTED ANYONE WHO STOOD IN OUR WAY!!! WE'RE UNSTOPPABLE!"
"She basically just said that." Frosty explained
"Who asked you!"
"You just did."
"No I didn't!"
"Yes you did."
"NO I DIDNT!"
"Yes you did."
"NO I DIDNT!!"
"Yes you did."
"NO I DIDNT!!!!!"
"No you didn't."
"Yes I did!"
"No you didn't."
"YES I DID!"
"No you didn't."
"YES I DID!!!!!!"
"Well ok then."
"YOU LITTLE! GRRRRRR!!"
"Ava will you calm down already, we got company."
"Hey you 4 I'm looking for a Karl guy, know anyone like that?"
"Yup that's me."
"Ah ha! Your under arrest for lagging the competition!....I think."
"Lagging!? I never used such a useful technique."
"Oh...well I don't believe you, I'm gonna call my friend up here and then we'll talk."
"I don't think so." Ava grabs his phone and smashes it into the ground
"Hey!! Who do you think you....wait a minute....menacing looking faces....shorter tentacles....of course! You guys are Octo-ugh." Ava knocks Jared out.
"Well that's just great! Now we have a body!"
"What should we do with him exactly?"
"Did ya have to hit him upside the head though Ava? Man now he knows who we are. What are we gonna do!!!?"
"Everyone be quiet!!! I know what we'll do. We're gonna take him back to Octo Valley and see what his fate is." Karl yelled
"All right! I hope they probe him into a mutant Octoling Squid hybrid! How cool would that look!?"
"That isn't that cool Ava, it sounds pretty disgusting." Erika commented
"Either way we gotta carry him in a box. C'mon." The 4 of them carry Jared away
Lil D witnessed everything from a hill and runs to find Amethyst and Carter. Meanwhile back in front of the plaza
"Man this is just the most fun night in my life!" Carter said
"I'll say. It's too bad Jared isn't on the same team as us though. We probably would've won by now." Amethyst said
"....ok Charles, just walk up to him and say it...how bad can it be....he's just right there next too..uh amethyst. Oh great...well hopefully she goes away....ok here goes; ahem um hi Carter can I speak to you alone?"
"Oh hey Charles, sure. Be right back amethyst."
"People say brb now, I hope you know that!"
"So what's up?" Carter asked
"Okay Carter...well truth is I actually-"
"Carter!" Lil D steps in. "No time to explain but come with me. We gotta go now." Lil D pulls Carter and Amethyst away
"Oh uhh sorry Chuck I'll see ya later! And yeah I like turf wars with you too!"
"Oh........ok.....that wasn't what I was gonna say." Chuck looks sad
