Darkness. It was everywhere. How long had she been down here? Two hours? Two days? Two weeks? It felt like years. Why wouldn't the lights come back on? Why was she down here? Who was she? She felt like she was on the edge of a mental abyss and all that was below her was darkness. Darkness. Darkness. It surrounded her. Was she even there? Where was there? She was slowly falling, falling, falling into that pitch black darkness. Into the darkness. The darkness that ate everything. The darkness that was eating her. It was everywhere, everywhere, everywhere. It didn't matter where the where was, the darkness was always there, always, always, always there. Never ending, never ceasing, never going.

"Leave me alone!" she screamed at the darkness. "Go away! Go away!" She sunk inside herself deeper, deeper, deeper into that darkness. "No," she whimpered. "No, no, no, no. Go away. Go away." She rocked back and forth. There was no end to the darkness. The darkness ate everything, everything, everything. It was eating, eating, eating her. She didn't know who she was. It was the darkness, darkness, darkness. The darkness. It would be here after it ate her and it was here before it had. It wasn't going to leave. Never, never, never. She placed her hands over her ears.

"No!" she yelled, her voice echoing off the cement walls and growing more desperate. "No! No! No! No! Go away! Go away! Go away! Leave me alone! Leave me alone!"

But the darkness never ends.
