Emma's POV
"Emma wake up! It's the last day of school!"
"I'm up," I angrily replied rubbing my head.
And that ladies and gentlemen is my little sister Kate. As you may have guessed today is the last day of school.
I'm really excited mainly because school is a hassle and I'm not the most popular girl around, which of course is a downward spiral.
Let's just say that I'm the girl in sweats in the back of the class who doesn't speak to anyone.
I use to be miss popular in middle school but when my dad had to leave to go to the army at the beginning of freshmen year I lost it.
I stayed away from my friends and basically turned invisible. My dad and I were extremely close and not being with him is just horrible.
In case your little mind is wondering, today is the last day of freshmen year and I couldn't be happier. This summer I get to work with my aunt in her store. Ever since my dad left I became extremely close with my aunt Mary.
"EMMA VICTORIA JANE YOU GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE THIS INSTANT!!!" my mom yelled.
Great, now I'm in trouble. What a wonderful way to begin my day.
"I'm coming mom!" I screamed.
When I finished getting ready and brushing my teeth I went down stairs to greet an angry mother.
"Emma, breakfast is on the table, eat it and take your sister to school, I have to get to work," my mother ordered.
"Yes ma'am. "
"Good, now have a good day at school," she said exiting the room through the front door.
"Emme!"
"Hey Bumble Bee," I replied to my seven year old sister coming down the stairs.
"It's finally the last day," Kate sang.
"Come on we have to get cracking you aren't going to get to school by yourself. "
"Why not?"
Your seven, you can barely get to bed by yourself. "
"Not true!"
"Let's go," I said grabbing a piece of toast and heading for the door.
"What are you going to do during the summer?" I asked Kate.
"Sleep, play, and eat!" She screamed.
"That's the life."
"I know."
After taking Kate to school I headed for mine. I can't wait to just get this day over with.
"Hey hey hey!"
"Megan!" I practically screamed.
"Whoa, take it easy grizzly bear."
"Grizzly bear? Really."
"Yep."
"I'm so hype for summer!!!" Screeched Megan (my best friend).
"Hush people are going to think were high or something." I warned.
"Let them, see if I care."
"Emma, looking good." My other best friend Joey said.
"Hey Joey." I said hugging him.
Apart from Joey and Megan I don't talk to anyone. They have been my best friends since the start of high school and they know everything about me and I mean everything.
"Okay guys I gotta go to homeroom, see ya."
"Byeeeee," they sang in unison.
As I went into homeroom I saw him. Just the sight of him gave me the chills.
His name is Blake Anderson, the boy with jet black hair that looks extremely smooth and soft. In addition to his soft pink lips and 5 feet 7 inches height. Did I mention that he was emo.
Yep, Blake Anderson is emo, and he scares me. I don't have anything against him, its just he speaks in a monotone voice and doesn't smile much. Also he has a lip piercing with a metal stud, he wears all black.
Last, but not least he wears his hair at the side of his face. It's like he has side bangs, but i'm not sure. I made it official from the start of 9th grade that he scares me.
He has a group of friends that he always hangs out with, his best friend is the most popular kid in school. His name is Jack.
I take my seat in the back of the class, waiting for homeroom to begin.
