"He's an odd one, I tell you Barbara." the aging man said as he stirred the spoon in his coffee filled mug.

"Oh Patrick please. He's a very sweet boy and that's all." the also elderly woman said chuckling making her own cup of tea.

"He's only twenty-six and has the highest success rate in the county! None of it makes sense Barb." Patrick shook his head. "I didn't start until I was thirty-two!"

"Well he is a smart young man. I'm not surprised he started so early."

"And he's also so overly-friendly." Patrick looked at his wife in repulsion. "It bothers me. I'm sure he's up to something."

"Patrick would you please stop?" Barbara laughed. "You sound crazy. You'll end up being the patient here rather than the doctor. And I'll have that lovely boy help you."

Aunt Meg stopped the car in front of the psychiatrist building. Rose looked out the window and up towards the height of the structure. It was red brick building with white rectangle shaped windows equally spaced out on the building. Her eyes travelled down to where the entrance was and gulped. A flicker of hope burned inside Rose. She really hoped this visit and doctor was going to be the one. She hoped this was the end of the rainbow she had been seeking for all this time.

"Let me just find a parking spot and then we'll-"

"You don't have to come." Rose interrupted looking at her aunt. "I'll go by myself."

"Are you sure?"

Rose nodded biting down on her lower lip.

"Alright. You can find me in the parking lot once you're done."

"Yeah okay."

"Good luck Rose." Aunt Meg smiled comfortingly as she rubbed her niece's thigh.

"Thanks." Rose mumbled and pushed open the passenger door.

Rose stepped out of the car and walked towards the tall building. Once she was inside, a directory caught her eyes by the second pair of doors inside. It read the psychiatrist offices were located on the eighth floor. Walking further inside, she went towards the elevator which shortly arrived once she pushed the button.

On reaching the eighth floor, the elevator doors slid open with a sound of a ping. A large glass door stood few feet away from Rose. Taking a deep breath in and then letting it out, Rose stepped outside and walked towards the door. She pulled the transparent door open and stepped into a waiting room.

The waiting room had crème walls with oak brown couches and chairs placed around alongside matching tables. A few people were seated down flipping through health and entertainment magazines while others scrolled and typed away on their electronic devices. Rose's appointment was to begin in a few minutes so she went up to the receptionist's desk.

"Um hi."

A young woman with blonde hair tied up in a bun looked up from her computer screen with a warm smile visible on her glossy lips. "Hello. How can I help you?"

"My name is Rose Addams. I have an appointment."

"With Dr. Malik, correct?"

"Yeah."

"You can take a seat." she nodded. "He'll be with you shortly."

"Thank you." Rose turned on her heel and went to take a seat where she would not be sitting near anybody.

Rose sat on the far left end of the waiting room where an aquarium was set up. She watched the various kinds of fish swim back and forth as they interacted with each other at times. Her eyes scanned the decorations that were placed on the aquarium floor which created a pirate theme. As she closely watched each fish and took in each detail of what the glass case contained, Rose heard her name being called.

"Rose Addams?"

"Yes?" she stood up from her seat and looked expectantly at the receptionist, who was now standing by the wooden door beside her desk.

"Dr. Malik will see you now." the woman smiled.

"Okay thank you." Rose nodded and followed the receptionist.

Rose was led through a carpeted hallway which had doors on either side with the name of each doctor labelled on it. The blonde woman stopped midway of the passage in front of a mahogany door. Rose looked at the door which was labelled 'Dr. Z. Malik.'.

"You can go right in and Dr. Malik will be in shortly." the woman smiled and walked away leaving Rose all by herself.

Rose wrapped her fingers around the door handle and slowly pushed the door open as she took a few breaths in and out. Her body began to charge with anxious nerves leaving her with an unsettling feeling in her stomach.

Once she was inside, Rose's eyes roamed across the fair sized office. A wide and tall bookshelf was put up against one wall with books filling each row. A desk was situated on the far end across from her with a chair placed behind it and two in front. An arm chair and a brown leather couch was placed in the center of the room.

Rose walked over to the desk and took a seat on one of the chairs in front of it. She took note of how clean and organized the table was. She also noticed how there were no photo frames adorning the desk area like she'd usually see. Her observing the office was cut short when Rose heard the door click open. She instantly turned around in her seat to meet eyes with a young man who seemed to be a few years older than her.

He wore a white button up with black pants. He has dark thick hair which was styled up perfectly. The man's face was structured in such a way that all his features were prominent. A light stubble was spread across the lower end of his face which helped in making himself look older. His eyes were honey brown and they seemed warm and welcoming. He walked further into the office with a friendly smile spread across his face.

Rose guessed the handsome man could not possibly be her new psychiatrist as he seemed too young to be one. But she was proven wrong once he opened his mouth to introduce herself.

"Hello, I'm Dr. Zayn Malik. It's a pleasure to meet you."
