Chapter 28. Welcoming A New Member

                                                                                  8 months later

"Push! That's it!" I say holding Lydia's hand

"One more big push Lydia." The doctor instructs

Lydia's screams fill the room as a newborn starts crying

"It's a boy!" The doctor announces

"A boy. I have a son" Tyler says teary eyed "you did so good baby."

Tears are pouring out of Lydia's eyes as she takes the small baby in her arms, Tyler peppering her forehead in tender kisses

"He's perfect." I say kissing the top of her head and looking at Tyler "you guys did good. He's beautiful."

The babies bright blue eyes shine like a lighthouse in the dark, even though he just ya know, came out. His eyes are wide open, he's so cute with his little smushy nose

"He has your eyes." I say to Tyler "Cute like his mommy though"

After an exhausting day in the hospital I finally put my feet up on my new coffee table in the house I now share with Jackson.

"Welcome home Uncle Jaxxy." I say with a smile

A proud smile spreads across his face as he approaches me, leaning from behind to kiss me.

"Hey baby." He says laying down on the couch with his head in my lap

"I'm going to go back and see the babe and Lyds tonight if you want to come?" I say while kissing all over his forehead and face

"Of course."

"But just a little nap first."

Grabbing a coffee for Tyler and a tea for Lydia we head back into her room. A small container type thing holds the baby as he sleeps peacefully.

"Hi" Lydia says waking up

"Sorry if we woke you" I say in a whisper

"Don't be silly." Her eyes light up when I hand her tea and a chocolate muffin "thank god. My sugar is low."

I hand Tyler his coffee and make my way over to the small baby boy. He's so adorable as his little hands scratch his face and he crinkles is nose.

I give his a soft kiss on the forehead as his eyes slowly close again

"Jackson, Danielle we want to ask you guys something." Tyler says in a serious tone

I take my place back at Lydia's bedside and hold her hand, a confused expression on my face.

"We were wondering-" Tyler starts

"We want you to be his godparents." Lydia finishes

I for the second time today find tears running down my face as I share a look with Jackson. I see his face turning red and his eyes "watering" because as he says "I don't cry babe."

"Yes." I say quickly "of course. Really? Oh my shit. Ok. Yes. Yes yes yes!"

"Wow." Jackson says quietly before giving Tyler a massive hug "I'd love to man."

I don't hear what he whispers but Tyler gets a stupid grin on his face

Lydia and I sit there laughing and crying for what must be hours. The boys have come and gone and I'm currently holding the little baby in my arms
