I saw him smile from ear to ear today
just long enough to wipe the tears away
no he doesn't want you to see his pain
tryna hide it so you'll never feel this way
cuz hes strong but hes fragile
and hes scared but hes stable
he'll smile through the tears to hide the pain
cuz he never wants you to feel the same
shattered pieces fall apart
beaten battered broken hearts
even on the bad days he'll stutter out an its okay
doesn't want you to empathize
or ever feel how he feels inside
its an up hill battle he thinks hes lost
but he'll find a way to help you at all cost
he may be strong but hes fragile
hes scared but hes stable
you might be thinking such opposites cant coincide
but you've never been inside his mind
shattered pieces fall apart
worn out run down works of art
its a war zone in his heart
but youll never see him fall apart
