I opened my bedside table drawer and looked in it until I finally found what I was looking for. I took out the little blue box, I opened it and I stared at that ring I had bought not so long ago.

"Niall, I'm leaving now, are you sure you don't want to come?"

I heard her voice and I inmediately put the box back in the drawer.

"Hey, what do you have in there?" she asked as she sat on my lap, wrapping her hands aroung my neck.

"Nothing, I was just looking for my watch"

"Are you sure?" she said before placing a little kiss on my lips.

"Of course"

"I really want you to come to New York with me"

"I don't feel like going, to be honest. Fashion shows? You know that's not my thing at all"

"Well, I would really love to see you on the front row watching me on the runway"

"I have things to do, I'll go to the next fashion week"

"You promise?" I nodded "I'll only be ten days away from home, don't miss me too much"

"I won't, don't worry"

She laughed as she kissed me. She stood up and put on a leather jacket.

"I have to go now, I don't want to miss my flight"

"Alright, you're going to kill it on those fashion shows!"

"I hope so, I've been very nervous lately and I don't even know why"

I stood up too and looked into her beautiful green eyes.

"You're going to be fine darling"

"Hope so. I know I've said this like a thousand times already but I do have to go now" she laughed.

"Okay. Good luck" I kissed her "Francesca, I love you" I whispered.

"I love you too, babe"

We said our goodbyes and she left with a huge smile on her face. I didn't take the box out of the drawer again until I finally heard her closing the front door. I decided to hide it somewhere else, just in case she looked for it on the drawer when she came back. I sighed. I still wasn't sure if that was a good idea. I liked her, we had been together for more than two years, and I definitely had a lot of fun with her, but did I imagine her being the mother of my kids? I wasn't too sure of that, at least since I had talked to Maddie. She was going to marry that Peter guy, and I still couldn't believe it. Well, I guess I didn't want to believe it. We hadn't talked again since that day, and we probably wouldn't do it until the day when I'd receive her wedding invitation card. I didn't know if I was going to go. I knew it was going to be a very important moment for her, it was going to be the best day of her life, but I doubted that I was going to have fun there.

Suddenly the doorbell rang. I thought it was going to be Francesca, she had probably forgotten something. But I was wrong.

"Hey, Harry! What are you doing here?"

"I just couldn't stand not seeing you anymore" he joked while hugging me.

"C'mon man, it's only been like two months since I last saw you"

"I know. By the way, where's that Italian girlfriend of yours?"

"She just left for New York fashion week"

"I'm lucky then" he laughed.

"Oh Harry, you know she doesn't hate you"

"Of course not. She just enjoys trying to ruin my life everytime I see her"
