"Crocodiles are easy. They try to kill and eat you. People are harder. Sometimes, they pretend to be your friend first." -Steve Irwin

"Megan, I'm telling you, he's the one!" Heather squealed with excitement as she pressed her cell phone closer to her ear.
There was a small chill in the weather. Being March in Corpus Christi Texas, this was highly unusual. The weather normally didn't dive below sixties in the winter. With spring just around the corner, Heather definitely didn't anticipate a cold front was going to attack on the cusp of warm weather approaching. She shivered beneath her light cardigan as she unlocked her front door.

Heather's cousin Abby laughed on the other end of the line. "It was only your first date, H! You couldn't possibly know if he's the one from a single date!"

Heather grinned as she shut her large front door and locked it behind her. It didn't matter if her older cousin protested - she knew she found her perfect match on this first date alone. Colin had been a dream come true. He was sweet, funny, sophisticated, intelligent, and above all, he was  practically a Greek God reincarnated. He was the real deal, the man every girl dreamt of marrying, the man you convince yourself is a real-life prince charming.
Colin was someone so very fabulous, Heather knew she would cause her friends to bake with jealousy just having him on her arm.

Heather grinned mischievously while just thinking of such a thing. "Abs, the guy is the total package. I mean, he was such a sweetheart! He's smart, funny, and he had got the perfect body to drool over...."

"Alright, alright!" Abby laughed. "Did you take him home?"

"Obviously not - if I did, I wouldn't be talking to you right now." Heather snorted with sarcasm. She was still disappointed mister tall and handsome didn't accept her invitation inside. But still, Heather knew the date had went well. Colin laughed at her jokes, smiled fondly at her, and was rather touchy and feely when they walked the length of the pier after dinner. He was most definitely into her, but he was too much of an old fashioned guy to come in on the first date. It was a pity, really. Heather could clearly see his well defined muscles underneath his long sleeved shirt. She really wouldn't have minded him taking advantage of her all night long.....

"God, I need to show you a picture....He wasn't anything like his profile. In fact, it didn't even look like the same guy." Heather sighed. "If possible, he was even more gorgeous in person..."

"Was he a chubbster who turned out surprising you?" Abby yawned. She'd been around the block with meeting guys online similar to her cousin - a lot of the time, men could either show up on the first meeting looking exactly as described, or carrying a few extra pounds that they didn't show off in their profile  pictures.

"Ew, God know." Heather scoffed, wrinkling her nose in disgust. "You know I don't date fatties." She said, feeling disgusted at the very thought. "I mean, the pictures he showed has him with lighter hair or something. I was shocked to find he was actually better looking in person. Seeing his rocking bod made it even more of a disappointment he didn't come in."

"Well, there's always another time." Abby giggled before a shuffling sound is heard over the line. "Ugh, I'm gonna have to get off, I've got that literature test in the morning. Deets tomorrow?"

"Of course." Heather sighed happily. It was only after hanging up and making her way towards her kitchen did Heather remember she couldn't exactly get ready for bed just yet. Being a dating blogger  while working for Teeny Beat magazine meant she had to spend all her good and bad dates documenting her experiences. It was all in order for her viewers to read her smartass advice or problems she had regarding her suitors.
The only difference between this date and her others, was Heather knew Colin Matthews was the one. He was absolutely amazing in every aspect besides being jaw-dropping gorgeous. It made Heather smile just thinking about him!

Colin even said he couldn't wait to see her again, and that he'd call tomorrow. That was promising. It showed he was interested.
What Heather also had to give Colin bonus points was how he complimented her job. Most men found Heather being a dating columnist rather intimidating - he didn't.
When Colin asked to see her daily selfie ritual Heather was bragging she'd taken on as a ninety-day challenge for the magazine, he commented how he thought she only got more beautiful with each picture he saw.
It was a smooth line, but Heather didn't care. Colin pulled it off magnificently.

Pulling out her laptop, Heather gears it up while pulling out her newest Galaxy phone. She poses it, throwing her chest out to display the heavy cleavage she wore for the date along with her best sultry expression. It was taking a few snaps at different angles that had Heather smacking her lip-stick stained lips together to figure out which picture would be the best to upload.
