Broken

Chapter Nine.

Today is the day. 

Today is the day that I will go to California. Today is the day that I will see my brother after two years. Today is the day I will get my answers. 

I had my bags packed two days earlier and put them at Tiffany's house so that it would be easier and my dad wouldn't see me or question my bags. I had left a note earlier today while he was asleep, saying that I'll be out all day with a friend. Since I won't be coming back soon he can't do anything about me being out all day and not cooking or cleaning all day. I'm glad I won't be hearing his voice or seeing his face for a while. 

"Do you have everything with you?" Tiffany asked. 

"Nope," I checked my backpack just in case anything was missing,"Everything is here." 

"Well then, Let's go so that we don't be late." Fiona grabbed her keys and all three of us head to her car. 

I loaded my bags in the trunk and Fiona started the engine and we headed to the airport. We didn't talk much; Music was filling the car instead. All I could do is think . Think about how long or short this trip will be. How Hayden will react. How I will react. How this whole trip is going to be. Isn't it crazy that a few weeks back I didn't know anything about him and know I'm heading over to him. 

"We're here." Fiona parked and killed the engine. I took a deep breathe and got out of the car. Tiffany had already gotten my bags from the trunk.

"See you guys soon," I smiled and hugged Fiona."Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to go see my brother again." 

"What friends are for,"I laughed."I'll see you soon, let me know when you want to book a flight back and keep in touch." 

"I sure will, I'll Facetime and text you guys everyday!" 

"I told Stella that we just dropped out at the airport and she'll be there to pick you up."Tiffany told Stella that I'm coming to see my brother and that I don't have anywhere to stay, so she kindly invited me to stay over for as long as I can. 

"Thanks for everything, Tiff." 

"Shut up, now go catch your plane."

The flight went pretty well; I slept like a baby the whole time and this old lady next to me woke me up once we landed. I texted Stella once I arrived and she said she would be there in 5 minutes. I got my bags and took my phone out to text her and then heard someone call my name. 

"Emma! It's really nice to see you again," She squeezed me into a very tight hug."Last time I saw you was like 5 years ago." 

"I'm happy to see you again, too. I'm sorry that I couldn't see you on your last visit to Texas but I was busy." I smiled sheepishly. 

 "It's alright. Let's go home."

Stella was looking for her keys in her purse and finally found them. I pulled my bags into the house and shut the door behind me. I finally take a look at their rented house and it looked very decent for two freshmen in college. The house had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, one living room, and of course one kitchen. It was well decorated, too. 

"Nice place you two have got there." I complimented. 

"Thank you! Her parents did help us with decorating almost everything, since they are pretty loaded and they wanted us to live in a good place throughout our college years." She smiled warmly at me. 

"Okay so Jane won't be back for like two weeks. You'll sleep in her room and I'll sleep in mine." Stella guided me into Jane's room, which was pretty decent yet somehow girly but hey I wasn't complaining.

"I'll let you settle in and relax or d whatever you want," She left me in the room alone and I just laid in bed. My eyes wide open turning to process that I, Emma Greyson, am in LA. 

Woah is this real life? I took my phone out of my backpack and texted Tiff and Fiona on our group telling that I have arrived. 

Em: I am in LA you guys wtf??????? 

Fiona: omgggg how do you feel

Tiff: probs lonely bc im not there  

Em: half true lol but im so tired 

Em: im just going to sleep today since it's almost 12 AM and im dead , night babes xo 

Tiff: night but you better keep us update or ill chop your head off xxxxx

Fiona: very friendly of you Tiff

Tiff: get used to it babe 

I smiled at my screen like an idiot and set an alarm at 10 AM and directly went to sleep.
