Savannah:

"I was thinking we should stay at my family's cottage for Spring Break," May announces. I look over at her trying not to laugh. We were lying on my bed with our heads hanging off the edge. "We can go anywhere. I have permission from my parents." I reply. They were reluctant to agree but finally decided that it was okay since I was with May. I thanked all my lucky stars, and they agreed. If not, I would be stuck at home for a week. Which normally wouldn't bother me, but the guys decided that Rosie and Chloe had to be over every day. Chloe is the brunette who was with Colton at the game. I wouldn't say I liked her name, so I called her Cleo. Not only that, but it pissed her off. So, it only made it better for me.

"Well, then it's settled. We are going to my family's cottage." May announces. She sits up suddenly. "You're staying tonight," May states, patting my thigh. I groan, sitting up as well. She climbs off of my bed. "I don't wanna get my stuff around," I whine. She rolls her eyes at me. "Don't be a baby. Besides, do you want to be here when Chloe comes?" May asks. "Cleo," I correct her. She rolls her eyes at me. "And I guess not. I still haven't told my dipshit of a brother that I'm spending the weekend with you." I mumble. She sighs, shoving her feet back into her toms. "Well, you better." She offers. I think about it for a moment and then agree. She grins happily at me.

"Well, I'm gonna go before they get back, but I'll see you in a few." She announces. She opens my bedroom door. "Oh, and start getting around." She adds. I grunt at her in response. She shakes her head and then leaves my room. I sit in bed for another few minutes. The house was tranquil. Since the game, those stupid girls have been here. Cleo with her obnoxious laugh and Rosie with her annoying voice. Sometimes, I thought about hitting their heads together to see what would happen. The thought makes me laugh. I didn't truly hate these girls; realistically speaking, I know they never did anything wrong, but I was within my rights to dislike the girl standing in the way of my best friend's happiness. Besides, Chloe was just genuinely annoying.

I climb out of bed walking to my closet. I grab an extra bag from the top shelf. The thought of having to pack for the weekend made me grimace. I didn't even know what I wanted to wear to bed. I start by filling my undergarments at the bottom of my bag. Then, some of my sleep clothes. Finally, it's followed by my daily attire. Finally, after zipping my bag, I was done. Silently proud of myself. I went downstairs to get something to drink. I walk through the living and into the kitchen. I grab a Pepsi from the fridge and sit on the counter with a bag of chips beside me. I decided to text May since I was bored.

Me: All done. Just have to wait for my brother to get home.
May: Figures. He's probably with that

I couldn't help but laugh at her reference to Rosie. May didn't like her. Rosie could be the sweetest person on earth, but May still wouldn't like her. Hell, she could be the Queen of England, which still wouldn't change anything. Sadly enough, May had a point.

I laugh at her message. She was ruthless. "Someone's in a good mood," Colton speaks up, appearing in the kitchen. I frown at him. "Was in a good mood. What are you doing here?" I ask, annoyed. He smirks at me. "Where have you been the last few weeks? I live here, silly." He remarks sarcastically. "I meant, why aren't you with Cleo?" I ask bitterly. "Her name is Chloe. And she's on her way over." He informs me. I scrunch my nose in distaste. Of course, she is. "When's Brandon coming back?" I ask. Colton shrugs his shoulders. His attention is now on his phone. A smirk on his face. No doubt because he was talking to Chloe. I jump off the counter and grab my phone. "Where are you going?" Colton asks. "May's," I reply. He looks up from his phone. "I don't want to be here when Cleo arrives." He raises his eyebrows at me. "It's Chloe. Is it that hard for you to remember her name?" He asks. I shrug my shoulders. "I like Cleo better," I say. He chuckles, taking a step towards me. "Why do you sound so bitter?" He asks teasingly. "Is it because you're jealous?" I roll my eyes at his question. "I would have to find you attractive to be jealous of her," I remark. He laughs dryly. I push past him, leaving the kitchen. "Whatever helps you sleep at night." He calls after me.

Ignoring him, I run upstairs, grabbing my duffle bag off my bed. I make sure to close my door when I leave my room. I jog down the stairs to find Colton, starting to walk up. He eyes my bag. "I thought you were going to Mays?" He asks. I nod my head. "I am. For the weekend." I reply. He stares at me for a moment. "If you'll excuse me," I say, stepping around him. He stands on the staircase as I open the front door. At the exact moment, Cleo is going to knock. "Savannah," She states. "Cleo," I say distastefully. "It's Chloe." She grits. I shrug my shoulders. "Oh, sorry, I'm terrible with names," I smile. Colton jogs down the stairs, greeting her with a smile. I scrunch my nose. "Make sure to use protection. You don't want to get forever friends." I say to Colton. I smile sweetly as I run out of the front door.

I start my walk to Mays's house. Since Brandon wasn't here, I couldn't ask for a ride. Not that I minded because I knew May didn't want to see him. Since the game, we spent the rest of the week avoiding them. The task proved to be a lot harder than I expected. It only took me about fifteen minutes to get to Mays's house because I was taking my sweet time and absorbing the warm sun.

When I got to her house, May greeted me at the door. "Clover stopped by as I was leaving," I informed May once we were in the safety of her room. She pretends to gag. "Well, luckily, we won't have to deal with them for two days!" She cheers. I couldn't help but laugh. "Hey, I was gonna ask, have you spoken to Mason?" She asks. I shake my head. Mason and I haven't spoken since he dropped me off from our date. "Are you going to forgive him?" May asks. "I know I will. I don't want to cave before he does apologize. Besides, he hasn't done anything to show me he's sorry." I reply. May offers me a sympathetic look. "Oh, well. I'm going to give him the weekend to think it over. And maybe he'll be ready to apologize when we get back." I say. May smiles. "Hopefully." She agrees. She's distracted when there's a soft knock on the door. A few moments later, her mother steps into the bedroom. "You guys all packed?" She asked nervously. May crosses her arms knowingly. "What happened?" May asks. Her mother takes a deep breath. "Honey, I'm sorry, but I completely forgot that Uncle Tony is staying at the Cottage starting the same week of your Spring Break." Her mother explains. May lets out an annoyed groan. "Really? What are we going to do?" She complains. Her mother gives us another sympathetic look and then leaves the room. May starts to pace her room. "Well, this sucks." She remarks. I sit down on the edge of my bed, watching her pace. I was looking forward to not seeing Brandon or Colton for Spring Break.
