Coding. Such an odd hobby. Others consider it a job. Andrew considered it a life. He had been in coding academy since he was 7 years old. Day and night he would type code after code after code. He had his brain filled with commands. Day after day, the more he typed, the more he isolated himself from his family. Andrew had no friends. He simply ignored talking to anyone in school. You could say he was an odd human. A anti-social freak who sits in front of a computer screen all day. But isn't that society today. Isn't everyone already engaged in social media? There is a huge difference there. Overall Andrew's life remained somewhat normal. He didn't engage in any social matter. He focused on what he was good at. But everything changed. Everything.
Andrew sat in front of his computer checking his files. He sorted through all his documents finding what he could trash. He needed to make more space for his coding components. Hard rain slammed into his window. Roughly you can make out the sound of angry New Yorkers yelling at traffic. The headlights of the traffic outside reflected into Andrew's room. Red. That was the color of the room every night. Once Andrew cleaned up his computer he hit the switch on the side of his monitor. The screen flashed black and powered off. He shuffled from his desk and launched himself to his bed. He stripped off his clothing and shuffled into the cold covers. Andrew could still make out the sounds of horns and heavy rain. He tried to ignore the sounds and just fall asleep. It was always a challenge to live in the city of Brooklyn. Very loud and annoying. Andrew often times felt like opening the window and telling the city to shut up. Finally Andrew fell into the mysterious realm known as sleep.
2:05 A.M. The computer flashed on. By itself. Andrew quickly hopped off his bed and made for his computer. That's odd Andrew thought to himself. It's not normal for a computer to simply turn on by itself when it is shut down Andrew thought. He checked his computer. Everything's normal Andrew said in his head. Then he saw it. All his files. Gone. Years of work mysteriously wiped away. "What the hell?" Andrew muttered. He nervously scrolled through his computer. Nothing. A very high pitched ding erupted from his computer. Who is sending me an IM at this time? Andrew thought. He clicked the IM notification and the message loaded to his screen. "They're coming"
Andrew's stomach lurched. The screen flashed green three times then turned black. Andrew's mind was spinning. Who sent that message? Who's coming? What the hell is going on? He shifted in his seat and flicked the switch to power his computer. Nothing. It wouldn't turn on. Something is happening Andrew thought. That's when the screams started.
