Once the light had subsided the egg transformed into a humanoid shape. A young woman with large 'assets' stood in front of him. She had crimson hair, two thick horns that curved forward, sharp and fiery eyes. Her figure was slender but toned just perfectly. She wore a hybrid plate metal/leather armor, black and red in color with the mark of the crimson dragon lord on her breast plate. Covering her hands were black metal gauntlets and her legs were long reaching black greaves.
Strapped to her back was a large great sword with a menacing red blade. Everything about her screamed out high specs, from her armor to looks, she was nearly perfect with just the right blend of femininity and strength. She was the Crimson Dragon Lord.
Without giving much thought Mordred blurted out.
"Beautiful."
"Thank you, my master."
She spoke and gave a small bow of gratitude. Of course she did, but it was a little odd since familiars did not speak in [Hellgana], they just assisted their owners. It could be that the 'Crimson Dragon Lord' was a little different since it was from an event and it was a raid boss but that was rather unlikely.
At the very least the fact that it referred to Mordred as her 'master' meant that she was loyal. In the worst case scenario if she betrayed him, he was still confident he could beat her. Though it would be a shame if that came to pass.
"State your name."
He decided to show a little authority since he was the 'master'.
"I am referred to simply as 'Crimson Dragon Lord', I do not yet posses a proper name, I would be most honored if you could bestow me with one, my master."
This part was the same as [Hellgana], players could name their familiars upon first summoning them. Mordred had to think for a while to come up with a suitable name for this beauty standing in front him.
"Very well from now on you'll be known as 'Irina'."
"Understood, thank you my master, for bestowing upon me with such a wonderful name."
She gracefully bowed once more in gratitude. At this point he wondered if she would say the same thing regardless of whatever name he gave her. For example if he gave her the name of a man, would she still be happy?
Of course he wouldn't do something so ridiculous but it was more food for thought. Since the line between reality and fantasy was getting incredibly blurred he wanted to make sure.
"Just to be sure you still have access to your 'true form' ability correct?"
Mordred asked, to which Irina nodded.
"Correct, I can at any time transform into my true form. Would you like for me to do so right now?"
"No, that's fine. As long as I know it's possible that's enough for me."
In any case she did not seem like any sort of scripted Ai, but more like a real person with real intelligence. Why not? His powers became real thus it would stand to reason that Irina too was a complete being.
"Then, my master what is first on our agenda?"
And there it was, the 20 million dollar question, what exactly was on the agenda? He turned to look at the ashes of the dragon he slew earlier, most of it was blown away by the wind, but looking at it, it really hit him. He really wasn't in his own world anymore, this fantasy world was now his reality. So then what was he going to do?
"Impressive, as expected of my master. A dragon of that caliber is no match for you."
Irina praised with a satisfied look. Though she was of the same dragon race it didn't particularly bother her that there was a dragon corpse. She barely knew it and she particularly care about anything other than her master.
"Hmm? Ah, yeah... though I doubt I'll get any real answers, I'll start by asking you. Do you know anything about this world?"
Irina looked a little dejected as she answered with a negative. She wasn't able to give her master the answer he wanted.
"Unfortunately as I was only born a few minutes ago I have no knowledge of this place. Forgive me."
"it's fine, that's understandable. Then our first order of business would be to gather more information about this world.
"Understood. I will do my utmost to accommodate your wishes, my master."
Things like being called 'master' while most people would be a little reluctant to accept it, having been exposed to such things from popular culture and other entertainment mediums, Mordred didn't really mind as much. In fact many people back in [Hellgana] went as far as referring to him as 'King' due to his power.
That being said, the problem now was in which direction to travel as there were only trees in every directions. It would be easy to just cut down trees in a straight line and eventually he'd reach some point of interest but that was rather unintelligent thus he decided against it.
Since he had inherited his character's abilities he could probably go without food for days or weeks, but whether it was the same for Irina was a mystery. At most since she was also at level 600 she should be able to go a few days without sustenance.
Since there was no point in dawdling around in the middle of a forest he decided to pick a random direction and started to walk. As he did he noticed the presence of various monsters and animals in the background, some big, some small but none of them were a real threat. However the monsters and animals steered clear of his path as they were wary of him, he understood well the difference in power between them.
This was a normal thing in [Hellgana] as low level monsters would avoid players who's level were far too high for them. It was probably the same thing happening now, but the more interesting thing was that he could actually 'feel' their presence and gazes. It was an innate feeling, hard to describe.
Then he realized what it was.
"Ah, so this is [intuition]."
[Intuition] was a special skill that appeared once players had maxed their [warrior], [assassin] and [necromancy] skill. They were able to feel the presence of enemies, well in the context of the game it was a 'mini-map enhancer' that increased the detection range of enemies from the standard 50 meters to a further 250 meters. Right now it had become more of a 'sixth sense'. If the user wished he could stand still and concentrate to increase the detection radius to over 500 meters, it was similar in function as a submarine's sonar.
"Perfect."
