Yuri looked very annoyed when she’d finally gotten back to Exilia after her mission to Grand Central, and Jasper and Ida then took control of the ship and took off like a bat out of hell.

After all, with the New Army, the Grand Council and more than half the country after them, it is never wise for Sin to stay long in any place. The only place that they could breathe easy is underwater. Not even the Army have ships that could take them down as deep into the deep abyss of the sea that Exilia could go. And even so, Sin had never let up their guard. They always have at least one person on watch at the control room.

Alexia had snickered to herself as Yuri took off to her room with a grunt, with the intent of catching up on some well deserved sleep. Apparently, the girl isn’t very pleased at having interruptions blared into her ears every few minutes whilst on her mission. Back during the time of the war, Sin has different protocols when it comes to missions. Back then, whenever a Sin agent was dispatched on a mission, they usually work solo, sometimes with a partner. And once they are dispatched on a mission, they shouldn’t expect any backup, as there will be none.

That is what things are like back during the civil war. Every single day is just a fight for survival. Back then, they barely have enough manpower to just take on the missions that would destroy the internal structure of the old corrupted government.

Though if they knew that things will come to such a point today, they would rather just sit back and watch the government slaughter the rebellion group.

After all, what business is it of theirs who stands at the top? Why should they care what happens to this country, and who stands to benefit if so-and-so got the top seat? They are mercenaries after all. They work for money. End of story.

Now however… It is an entirely different story. They have to fight and struggle just to survive. And even if they do not like it, and it goes against their code as mercenaries, whether they like it or not, the Grand Council is after their heads, and they will not rest until every single one of them lies dead.

Seth who was studying the radar-like diagrams that were appearing on the monitors, monitoring them carefully in case the Army or the Council even are crazy enough to send people after them, tore his eyes away from the monitors and turned towards Helen.

“So what now?” Seth asked. “Yuri really did go all out for the mission. This time tomorrow, all of Mayalia will probably be in a panic once the news get out that Sin is back. I doubt that any of them have forgotten the fear and terror that we have struck during the time of the war, and what we’re capable of doing.”

None of them even wishes to dwell on the past, and what they’ve done during the war. None of them even like doing what they’ve done during the war, and neither are they proud of what they’ve done, and even what they are. But whether they like it or not, all of them were mercenaries, assassins for hire. Someone hires them for a job, they better damn well do it right with any means possible.

Helen chuckled darkly, a smirk on her face. A look that all of her comrades knew by now is not a good thing. At least, for their enemies. “Oh no, I don’t think that it’s enough. We haven’t done enough yet. Not nearly enough.” Helen smirked darkly. “I want them to know fear. I want them to know just what it is that they’ve done. I want them to know that Sin isn’t the type of organisation to just roll over and take it as they come after us like we’ve done something worth getting killed over. I want them to know that whatever is going to happen from here on out, and whatever fate that lies in store for this country… It is entirely their fault, and something that they’ve brought upon themselves.” Helen’s eyes glinted coldly. “After all, if they are fool enough to go against Sin, they better expect some retaliation from us. None of us are the type to just roll over and accept things as they come.”
