The Empire, Not Again

I was being ushered and pushed out of the room I was sleeping in. Everywhere was chaos. People were frantically trying to get into the escape pods as fast as they could. I needed to get away from the chaos, this was just dangerous. I darted around several people quickly, trying to loose the maid who was helping me. I did feel bad, but I needed to get away. I ducked into a corridor.

It seemed like I had lost track of everyone, but then I heard the distinct voice of my sister. I cautiously poked my head out to see what was happening. It looked as though she had just finished giving a message to a droid. I jumped out running towards her.

"Leia what the heck are you doing?" I demanded.

"I could ask you the same question, but we need help. I'm trying to achieve it," she said.

"I don't care. You need to get out of here!" I stated, as I began to push her towards the nearest exit closest to the escape hatch.

"So do you!" she protested.

"If I leave, they'll shoot down all the escape pods. The Empire must have someone to interrogate. Get out of here," I ushered her towards the escape pod we were nearing.

"I don't want to lose you again," she said.

"I know, but I'll be okay I've been through it all before. I'll do it for the Rebellion and for our home," I stated.

She gave me another protesting look, and the droid she was with started speaking, but I shoved them into the pod. Another droid wandered its way down the hall.

"R2! R2! Oh where did that droid get off to?" he was saying to himself.

I grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the pod before it departed.

"Princess (y/n) what are you doing?" the droid questioned.

"Saving your life," I replied coolly, trying to maintain my composure, even though I was terrified.

"(Y/n) if you're going to leave me like this, at least take my weapon," Leia said to me.

I nodded, taking a small pistol from her hand. I slammed down the button sending the pod away. I ran back down the corridor. Yes I planned to be caught, but I wasn't going down easy.

I could hear gun fire near by, so I poked my head out of another crevice, and noticed several rebel guards firing at stormtroopers. I shot at two of the troopers, trying to help out. One of my shots hit home, taking down a single trooper, the other ricocheted off a beam near by. I was out of practice. I shot at a few others before they noticed me.

"Get the girl!" a trooper shouted, charging after me.

I ducked back behind the pillar I was standing by, and ran in the opposite direction. Once I came to another pillar, this corridor seemed to be aligned with them, and I hid yet again. I cautiously poked my head out, just as the first stormtroopers were coming into view. I shot two of them, but there were still several coming at me. Crap. I went to shoot again, but I had ran out of ammunition. I ran yet again, only I wasn't fast enough.

"Stun her!" I heard a trooper yell, and the next thing I knew I was out cold, just to have another terrible nightmare.

Hello everyone! I apologize for this chapter being kind of short, but introductions always are I suppose. Han Solo should actually be in a chapter soon, just gotta get the plot outta the way.
