Dragon Ball: Time Lapse

Chapter 1

It was 7 years after Goku's death and everything seemed to be in motion. It was really a big step for Gohan, but the whole family managed to move on. Now Gohan has turned into a teenager and with Cell gone he can finally go to school like his mother always wanted.

"Gohan, don't forget your paperwork!" Chi-chi yelled from behind.

"Opps, I almost forgot. Thanks mom."

Gohan went back to get his homework, then Goten showed up.

"Goten, be a good boy and take care of mom while I'm gone okay?"

"You can count on me." Goten stated.

As Gohan went outside Nimbus appeared in the sky and Gohan immediately called for it.

"Hey Nimbus, over here!" Gohan called waving to Nimbus.

Nimbus landed on the ground floating. While Gohan jumped on.

"Bye mom! Bye Goten!"

"High School, here I go!" Gohan said to himself while Nimbus flew all the way up to the sky.

Everything shrinks below as Nimbus flew higher. While Gohan looked down and enjoyed the view.

"Wow, everything sure is beautiful from up here."

Everything was alright until a thought came into Gohan which makes him frown.

"Sigh, I wish dad was still here. He didn't even get a chance to meet Goten. Poor dad."

"Well, at least I know he's in the Other World."

"Hmmm, I wonder what it's like up there."

Meanwhile in Chi-chi's house...

Chi-chi was busy washing the dishes and at the same time, talking to herself about Gohan finally going to High School. While Goten was busy listening to everything she says.

"Oh, my handsome Gohan. Finally goes to High School..."

This goes on for several minutes until Goten interrupted.

"Mom, am I going to school too?" Goten interfered.

"Oh, things will be different for you Goten. I will train you to be the best fighter like your dad was. Sigh, how I miss him."

"Wow, is my dad really that strong?" Goten asks.

"Well, yes Goten. He's the strongest fighter I ever known."

"Is he a Saiyan too?"

"Huh, who told you that?!"

"Gohan told me that Saiyans are powerful and that both of us can turn into a Super Saiyan." Goten explained.

"Well yes, you're father is a Saiyan but don't you dare turn into one! That is strictly prohibited in this house!"

"So, can I do it outside?"

"I mean anywhere you go Goten. You will not turn into a Super Saiyan!" Chi-chi answered.

"But it's not fair. Gohan turned into a Super Saiyan."

"I said no Goten. Is that clear?!"

"Awww, alright mom." Goten said sadly.

"Sigh, Why don't you wait outside until I finish washing the dishes then we'll start training okay?"

"Really? We'll start training today?"

"Yes, Goten."

"Oh yeah! I can't wait." Goten said excitedly and went outside.

"Well, that's my brave little boy." Chi-chi said and continued to wash the dishes.

Meanwhile at the city...

"Finally, we're in the city. You can put me down now Nimbus." Gohan told Nimbus.

Nimbus quickly went down towards a place where there are a lot of people. Gohan almost fell but managed to get back.

"Nimbus no, not there. We're gonna be seen by everyone!"

With Gohan's response Nimbus immediately pulled back up and landed on a building. Gohan landed on the surface hard and rubbed his head in pain.

"Why do you have to do that Nimbus!" Gohan said irritated.

Gohan stood up and looked down from the building to see if somebody saw them.

"Sigh, luckily nobody saw us."

"Well, I better get going Nimbus. I'll call you later okay?" Gohan said and continued on his way.

Gohan got down from the building and made his way through the city. As he walked along the path he lost track of the time. While wondering around Gohan finally remembered his watch.

"I better check the time."

"Hmmm, 15 minutes left." Gohan said in a calm voice.

"Well, I better run... full speed!"

In a flash, Gohan starts to run extremely fast. Along his way he was stopped by the sound of gunshots from a nearby bank.

"What's going on?" Gohan asked himself.

As soon as sirens were heard and cops began to appear Gohan knew that there's definitely wrong.

"A bank robbery? This doesn't look good." Gohan said as he stood behind a building.

"Hmmm, maybe I can help."

Gohan turned into his super saiyan form and went into the fire zone. He took down one of the bad guys and he was face to face with another one of them.

"What the?!" The armed man said, aiming his gun towards Gohan.

The unknown man, startled at Gohan's sudden appearance, fired multiple bullets at him, which he easily caught by only one hand. The man stopped in shock, while Gohan dropped every bullet in his hand unto the ground.

"He... he's a monster!" The thief yelled as he ran away and got inside a van with the stolen money.

Others who also witnessed what happened also ran away and got into the vehicle.

"You're not going anywhere!" Gohan uttered, preparing for a Kamehameha Wave.

As they fled away, Gohan fired his Kamehameha Wave towards the vehicle causing it to stumble upside down, leaving the robbers hopeless with no escape. With this, Gohan was out of sight.

"Phew, I hope they don't recognize me." Gohan said before changing back to his base form and looking at his watch to check the time.

"Huh?! Oh no! I'm late for school."

Gohan ran as fast as he can and even flew while on the way, ignoring the fact that it would be very risky if somebody sees him like that. But he finds it unusual that the streets were empty and nobody, not even one, was there. He didn't bother and continued on his way. He finally arrived at his school and as he sprinted along the hallway he noticed it was very quiet, too quiet to be a school.

"Huh? Where is everybody?" Gohan said confused.

As he wondered around the school he also noticed that the clock wasn't ticking. In fact, it's hands weren't moving at all.

"Strange, maybe it ran out of battery." Gohan thought.

Gohan continued to search for his room and finally found it. When he opened the door he was stunned at the sight. The people inside weren't moving, not even one movement can be seen, almost like the time has stopped itself. Then all of a sudden, he felt cold air rush down his spine and he heard a very faint whisper.

"Son, it's me."
