Gaby let out a sigh of content as she snuggled up closer to the warm body lying next to her. As the sleep and alcohol induced fog lifted from her mind all of the memories came flooding back; the last thing she remembered was telling Nick that she loved him and that she could always count on him.

Nick! She forgot about Nick, as she opened her eyes she was face to face with him who was sleeping peacefully. Gabrielle ran her fingers through his hair as she thought about how great of a friend he had been to her. Gaby knew that she could always count on Nick; it had always been that way since, forever. Nick and Gaby grew up together from birth since their mothers were best friends. Nick was older by four months, and he did not mind reminded Gaby on a daily basis. His big brother attitude towards her was something she did not mind. Gaby sat up with a stretch only to realize that she was completely naked. Gabrielle tried not to panic, she lifted up the sheet and saw that Nick was naked too, it was then that panic set in.

What the hell did we do!

"Nick wake up!" She said hitting his shoulder. Nick grunted and turned over onto his stomach causing the sheet fall revealing his golden tanned behind.

"Oh my god Nick get up." Gaby hit him on the back, as she covered her eyes and Nick's eyes flew open.

"What?" He whined as he looked over at Gabrielle who had the sheet pressed against her like a second skin.

"Nick I think we..." She trailed off as she tried to finish her thought with her eyes.

"Think we did what?" Nick grumbled as he pressed his hand to his forehead, he had a killer headache. Gaby motioned for Nick to look down; Nick looked down and jumped out of the bed while covering himself with a pillow forgetting all about his hangover.

"We didn't!"

"I think we did." Gaby wailed sinking down into the bed.

"Well gee thanks for the ego boost Gaby." Nick said as he sat on the edge of the bed.

"I'm sorry Nick, but this is just too much," she sniffled as a steady stream of tears marred her face. " I was left at the altar twenty-four hours ago, I got incredibly wasted only to wake up to find out I slept with my best friend, who is like a brother to me, and my freaking head is splitting." She said as she was slapped with a fierce headache.

"Hell, when you put it like that I'd cry too,"

"Nick, what are we gonna do? What are we gonna do? How did this happen?" Gabrielle asked all in one breath, Nick knew that if he didn't calm her down that she would have a panic attack.

"Gaby calm down this doesn't change anything between us, I still love you, and you are my best friend," he said cupping her face in his hands. "I won't let this one little slip-up ruin the longest running relationship I've ever had. Are you?" Gabrielle peered into his emerald green eyes and smiled.

"No, I'm not."

"That's my girl," Nick said before he kissed her cheek.

"Besides it doesn't count, we were drunk, and I don't remember a thing that happened last night."

"Neither do I, maybe we can just act like this never happened," she said hoping that it could be true.

"Exactly, now hit the showers McNair and I'll order breakfast," Nick said, and Gaby wrapped the sheet around herself as she sauntered towards her suitcase on the opposite end of the room.

"You know it's not like I've never seen you naked before, we used to take baths together," Nick said to her as Gaby rifled through her suitcase gathering up clothes.
