Few people tried to help but they couldn't because I wouldn't let them. Not that I ignore their helping hand, I need it but it seems that I stopped needing anyone now that my mother - the only one who truly helped me - is long gone.

My sister hates me because of what she was told years ago, but I never knew what that was about. In addition to her sudden distaste on me, she constantly reminds me of how I killed our parents.

My heart beats faster as I gasp for air, that past always gets to me. The bloody windshield, my mother's cries, my father's shouting of my name.

"Pills" I held my chest where my fast beating heart resides and left the kitchen for my bathroom.

I have been taking my meds for years now, one for my depression, another for sleepless nights and the last is for my attacks. I never knew what they do to me or what the side effects are. I never googled, fear of what is really wrong with me.

I opened my bathroom drawer and took the specific bottle of pills and took one dry. The label of my bottles were scratched however I fully know which are which.

"No more remeniscing tonight Lily" I whispered to myself as I laid over my twin sized bed, waiting for my paranoia to stop.

I fell asleep waiting and was awakened by the shouts downstairs.

"Anyone home?" an unfamiliar deep voice roared.

1:12am, my clock shows.

Who will be inside the house at 1 in the morning shouting like some damn guest which they aren't?

"Oh come on Ash!" the voice exasperated.

Ash. Asher?

I stood up from bed and went off to the front door.

A man was clearly unconscious laying on the ground and beside him is a pool of vomit, making me wrinkled my nose in disgust. The other one stood, his back on me but from his clothes earlier, I could tell he is Kaden. So that brings me... The unconscious drunk lad is my good cousin, Asher.

"Ash. Wake up. I don't plan on tucking you to bed tonight buddy and if Julie is around she would've skin me alive to go home this late" Kaden laughed as he kicked Ash lightly on the side making the other groan in response.

I remained silent as I don't care who Julie is or what Kaden has to say.

"Mmmm" my cousin mumbled.

"She would've been the mother I always wanted huh?" Kaden shook his head with a chuckle, "Now now Ashy, let's go to bed" he posed like superman before kneeling down and helping the drunkard to stand.

"Jared's beer pong and Leigh's bitch problems hit you hard man" he murmured with mockery.

"He never drank that hard before" I spoke for the first time, surprising Kaden.

He turned to face me and his smile showed, "Lily"

The guy laid my cousin down the ground again, placing his right hand inside the back pocket of his jeans.

"Just help him to the couch, he'll live" I nod once towards the living room lounge with my famous straight face.

"Wednesday is that you? Lily you should make more facial expressions" he chortled.

"Goodnight Kaden" I turned around to go upstairs although a hand gripped my upperarm, stopping me from my pace.

"Unhand me" I glared at his smirking face.

"No can do sweetheart" he grinned, scanning the house and adding, "where's aunt Helen?"

"Get out or I'll call 911" I lamely threatened.

"What for? In fact I helped your cousin walk home without a single gush on his skin, except for the vomit of course" he mocked.

"Then just help him to the living room and leave" I pushed him away.

"You should be more hospitable to guests sweetheart" he shook his head.

"Don't call me that" I snapped. Kaden and my sour mood is a click I tell you.

The guy doesn't know when to crack a joke I swear on the present gods and goddesses.

"Now now babe, don't be too feisty" he raised his hands in surrender sending me to roll my eyes.

"I like you" he whispered lowly but the serene environment made me hear his short statement.

I scoffed and stomped up the set of stairs, not forgetting to slam my bedroom door shut for the whole place to hear.

Who is he to tell that to me? We just met.

Like Kristoff says, does Kaden even know my whole name? How I pick my nose? And if I eat it or not?

Like seriously.

This is the first time I met this kind of person though. The kind where he shows much attention to me than all the others who just kept me away from their circle of life.

Kaden is the only one to speak to me and doess not judge me from my looks and anti social qualities. He surprises me too, the way he makes fun of the things around us and how he always achieve the growing tension in the room whenever he speaks to me.

No one has ever catched my eyes too, not until Kaden mocked me earlier today and how he did it again this dawn.

The knock on my door broke me from my trance. "Yeah?", I opened the wooden barrier.

Kaden looked more exhausted now with his hair quite dishevelled and the shirt he wears is a bit rumpled.

"4pm tomorrow after class. Meet me in the lobby we have somewhere to go" his face free of mockery or anything fishy.

"I have homework to do" I rejected his offer of whatever he plans for tomorrow afternoon.

"Friday homework? You can do it this weekend Lily"

"I don't need the weekend if I have the whole friday"

"Then see you this saturday" he nodded at his own decision.

"No" I rejected again.

"You need a good breather Lily. Homeworks and school? It won't do good on you" he raised his arms up and leaned on my door frame like a model he isn't.

Thanks to his Russian descent and deep set eyes though.

Wait. Did I just... Like complimented his engineered features?

"I don't need a breather. I stopped needing anyone, why start now?" I remained passive as I could be, staring straight through Karen's deep brown orbs that could take my aoul out of my body.

"I'm not asking you to start needing someone, I'm asking you to go with me on the basketball game tomorrow. And the answer is either yes or hell yeah" he fought a chuckle.

"I said no" I irritatedly uttered.

"Okay. See you then" he looked inside my pretty little bedroom and asked, "By the way, can I use your bathroom for a sec?"

"No" I deadpanned.

"Oh come on Lily. You wouldn't love to see me leak on your floor" he raised a challenging brow.

"Asher's roo-"

"Locked" he shrugged.

Yeah. I forgot how inconsiderate the jerk is. Asher never leave the house with his bedroom door unlocked. He is a different kind of guy, his dresser is organized and so is his squeaky cleaned bathroom. He never shares, specially to guys like Kaden, you never know how many peeing hole the use when peeing.

Oh how did I know that?

Well,... I just do.

I stepped aside and he made his way to my pink colored bathroom, moving out a minute after with his perfectly engineered features and smirk, "See you tomorrow sweetheart"

I rolled my eyes and slammed the door shut behind him, sending Kaden to laugh at my obvious aggression.

I don't do dates.

No show it is.
