Optimistically Friendly

Person: I hate you.

Me: I like that your honest about your feelings towards me!

(Note that if they keep insulting me, then I will eventually blow my top and get VERY angry at them. But normally, on a good day, I can normally keep this up for a good 2 minutes)

I like being optimistic, because you can cheer people up that way. Say, for example, your friends are terrified of heights (like me), and we are stuck up on a very tall building with no way down, and no way to contact help. I would try to think of some way to cheer them up. Tell them that maybe some dragon robot thing will come and save us. Or maybe if we fall, we will land on 10000000000000000000000000 dollars and become rich. Or maybe be simple and say that a news helicopter may see us and come rescue us.

I also like to be friendly (the random thing in Italics above) even if someone doesn't deserve it. But if you've done too many bad things too many times, or done REALLY bad things only a few times (like kill someone), I probably won't so be nice. Second chance, maybe, but don't expect my pity or kindness. But when someone insults me, I just brush it off if possible.
