After we finish eating in silence, I am escorted to my room.

Moments later, there is a knock on the door.

I don't get up to answer it so they let themselves in.

Its Adonis.

"I-I I'm sorry, I had to. I have to kill my father" I explain.

He sits down on the bed.

"I understand, and I am willing to help if it means peace"

"Even if it means deprivation sexual necessities" I joke lightly

He laughs

"I remember you" He says

"Oh do you know, tell me how you know of me I may look like the other thousand girls you have drooling over you" I giggle

"By far the most beautiful princess I've seen and I have seen lots from other lands afar. I also remember you in that red dress." He laughs his eyes widening dramatically

I scoff. "Don't remember me saving your arse" I laugh

"That too" He laughs

"So how many princess have you used the 'By far the most beautiful princess I've seen and I have seen lots from other lands afar' line on?" I ask

"Oh too many" He jokes with a smile

I giggle.

"You are though, beautiful, and I definitely prefer a girl who can work a sword rather than one who doesn't know how to spell the word itself" He laughs looking at the wall

I scoff.

I stand up brushing off my dress.

"So tell me about the guard scandal" He says curiously

"Haha what" I scoff  "There is no scandal" I giggle

"Uh huh. I hear things" He laughs

He stands up and I realize how much taller he is than me.

He bends down and kisses me. For moment I kiss back, but than I think of how ridiculous this would be.

I push him away and he falls on the bed rolling with laughter.

I laugh.

"You are experienced" He laughs

"Shut up" I laugh uncontrollably

"Is that any way to talk to a prince?" he asks jokingly

"Is that anyway to talk a princess?" I ask

"Touche" He chuckles

When we settle down he pats the sheets of the bed.

"Now, I imagine you would terribly tired, you should rest, and at high noon tomorrow I will show you about the city" He smiles as he walks to the door.

I look down, hiding my blush.

I don't even know if I could trust King Garth. Yet I am gallivanting about with his son.

A maid comes in to help me get undressed. When I go under the covers holding a needle I snagged, i hear my door lock from the outside.

I settle in holding on dear life with that needle.

I sleep as I have never slept before, not even doing it purposefully.

A maid comes in to wake me.

I almost hit her as she shakes my shoulder.

"I am terribly sorry" I beg

"I understand child, I have lived in the palace for 30 some years and before that I lived with an army of men. Everyone has to wind down when they are scared. You need to trust that we will protect you" She explains
