It was nighttime. Everything was quiet, the diner across the street seemed empty. We knew he was in there, and we were going to get him, alive. We needed to "prosecute" him to make sure he got what he deserved, especially what that sicko did to all those vulnerable girls and boys. Once the girl we were using gets a confession out of him, case closed. That son of a bitch left them half dead, they'll never be able to live their lives the same again. We made sure that we caught him, making this clean and clear. Since we were FBI, this made wackjob made no public headlines. We made sure the girl was wired before she went out, everyone knowing what could happen. The possibilities unlimited, but as long as we got him, it was fine.
"Hello?" We heard the girl call out. There was a gust of wind, like someone was moving. She gasped, unable to contain her fear. It seemed as if she had found something, and we heard her footsteps echo off of the tiled floor of the diner. From my line of sight, I saw her turning into a raisin. But, we still had a clear transmission of sound on her. I picked up a pair of binoculars sitting next to a pencil, and saw the girl look at something. It appeared to be a torn piece of colored paper at first, but when she had picked it up to examine it, the object appeared to be a rose petal. She stared for a few seconds, contemplating if this was harmful to her or not, the situation very hostile. Just then, a pale white, and clawed hand reached out and rested on her shoulder.
"Hey there sweet thing." He said.
"Hold your fire. He's next to the girl, what ever you do, do not proceed with the original plan we had discussed. I repeat, do not fire the victim is too close to the suspect." The commanding officer had radioed in. I looked at the radio, furrowed my brows and bit my lip, then returning to the binoculars. Damn, part of our plan was ruined. I continued to watch as the pervert handed her a rose of a different color, pink. It seemed to natural, it's tone was fervent.
"Listen here sweetheart," He spoke. "Why don't you and I go have a good time?" He seduced her. We were all so desperate that she not take the rose, we all knew we'd never see her again if she did. I watched through the binoculars as she mindlessly reached for the rose. She snapped back to reality when her phone was ringing. The person, or whatever it was seemed annoyed, and drew back his hand in irritation.
"Ruining our fun are we now?" He asked, not losing his cool.
"I-I'm sorry, it's just my dad checking up on me, don't worry, I'll just answer it."
What the hell? Didn't this girl not have any remaining family left?
"He ain't gonna be commin' over now, is he?" He said menacingly.
"No, he's not." She said, taking a deep breath before answering the phone. "Hey Dad! it's me, what's up?" She paused, waiting for an answer. "Yeah, I'm just doing a little sight seeing, you know me. I found this place by the docks too, its really cool. It's got all that fancy authentic stuff you like, even antique tea sets." She said, stalling and trying to make it seem she wasn't standing a few inches away from a serial rapist. "Oh sure, I'll bring you back something from the store, it's open until midnight anyways. And yes I know, I'll come home after the store. I'll be sure to bring you those stupid china plates you like, haha." "Okay, see you later dad, love you too, bye." She hung up the phone, obviously regretting to agree with us on the setup commencing just now.
"So where were we?" He had asked her.
"I-I'm not so sure, I'm only 16, what if this isn't safe?" She stammered.
"Don't worry babe, here, let me give you a free sample of what I can do." He reached for the girl's waist, pulling her close to him, cuddling her. He lifted her head and smiled before kissing her. Apparently, she wasn't fighting any of this, and we all looked at each other, thinking if we were the one who had just been set up. I looked through the binoculars again, seeing now that the girl had pulled away from the person's grip, and she looked away, possibly embarrassed.
