A/N: Hey guys! Thanks for reading. This isn't a normal Fan Fiction because it goes back in time flashbacks kind of. But it's going to be good! I admit I like guys with long hair. Ahaha. Read on!

P.S. I don't own any of L.J. Smiths characters or Julie Plec's.

I looked out of my chamber window to see nothing but long grass and huge trees that stretch across our land. The wind had a slight breeze but it was cold, since it was becoming winter. I turned from my window and faced my bed looking at the dark red dress that lay a pawn it.

Niklaus Mikealson's birthday celebration is today, and invited everyone in the village to his ball.

My heavy door creaked open to see my mother looking at me in surprise. "Emily!" She said. "Why are you not dressed yet?"

"I am sorry mother. I had lost track on what I was doing." I apologized.

"Hurry then, Emily. Niklaus and his brother Elijah will be expecting us soon." I nodded and she left, closing the door behind her.

My hair was left down, to my back and my bangs were braded and around my head. My blonde hair was naturally wavy.

My family and I came into the Mikelson castle and it was huge. Paintings on the walls, candels everywhere, and rich people. We are not rich, my family and I, but we are not poor. Everyone that was there, were wearing there nicest dresses and the men were wearing there best clothing.

Erica and Kyle my brother, just looked board and my parents pulled me aside when they went off in different directions.

"Daughter, we are going to see Ester and Mikael. We shall find you when we are done."

"Alright mother, father." I nodded and Trever, a friend was talking to girls until I heard him say "excuse me," and walked to a man across the room, who has brown wavy hair down to his shoulders, and brown eyes. He was handsome.

He was coming back over here with the man. I aproched him with a smile.

"My dear," Trevor said touching my arm. He put his hand out gestering to the man infront of me.

"Hello," I said to him giving him a smile. The man'a brown eyes widened. I tilted my head wondering why he was staring at me.

"Forgive me you remind me of someone," he said still staring at me.

"Emily, may I introduce the Lord Elijah," Trevor said. I was surprized and he held his hand out. A Lord? How could I be so foolish not to know it was him.

"Plesure my Lord," I said curtsied in front of him.

"Pleasure is mine," he said kissing my hand once I was done. "Emily."

"So where is Niklaus? The one I have heard so much about?" I asked once Elijah and I were leaving Trevor.

"Fashionably Late," Elijah stated holding the wine in his hand. "He likes to make an entrance." He turned around to look for Niklaus. "Here he is," he said raising his hand showing to me where he is. I turned around to see him. He was the handsomest man here. No questions about it. He had dark blonde hair that almost went to his shoulders and his eyes were so blue and you could look at them forever. He smiled at a few people and his perfect lips curled into a smile as he approached us. Once he looked at me I swear I stopped breathing for a moment.

He set his gase on me and walked over.

"Emily, may I introduce to you, the Lord Niklaus," Elijah said looking in between us. as I cursied. He never took his eyes off me. I raised my hand and he kissed it not breaking eye contract.

"Niklaus is the name my father gave me. Please, call me Klaus," he said giving me a smile.

"Why have you come Emily?" Klaus asked not rude at all.

"Your parents invited my family, your Lord."

"Emily and her family, are from Balguaria. New here," Elijah said smirking at his brother.

"Strave, Emily," Klaus said with a smile.

"Very good!" I said smiling a wide grin. I looked at Elijah to see him smiling and I looked back at Klaus.

"Do you mind brother?" He asked turning towards Elijah. "I would like to have a moment alone with her." Klaus asked.

"No not at all. Happy Birthday brother." He said. Klaus linked his arm through mine and Klaus lead me outside. He took a seat on a rock seat and motioned me to sit with him.

I sat down and Klaus kept on looking at me.

"You have true beauty, Emily." I blushed.

"Thank you, my Lord," I said. "You are very charming."

"You can just call me Klaus you know," he said laughing. I laughed with him.

We talked for a long time. I felt like I've known him for a long while.

"I fancy you, Emily," he said taking a hold of my hand.

"I think I fancy you to, Klaus."

"Meet me tomorrow."

"Where?" I giggled.

"Just outside my castle. We can spend the day together."

"Alright," I said. He gentilly leaned in and kissed me on the cheek.

I giggled as Elijah started chasing me outside.

"You have to chase me!" I said picking up my big white dress as I ran from him. He slowed down, then I did. "You are ment to catch me."

"Well if I catch you then the game will be over."

I sighed. "Thank you for entertaining me."

"You looked board inside so I took pitty on you," he said with a smile. I looked at him with my mouth open slightly. Then I giggled when I knew he was jokeing.

"Klaus promiced to spend the day with me but..." I said taking a seat. "He never returned from the night."

"Klaus does not live by rules but his own," Elijah said.

"He is a very charming man. Hard for anyone to resist," I said looking away.

"And yet?"

"I know not why he called me. He seams to not care for me at all. I spent last night talking to him."

"Well his union was built on much less."

"Is it wrong to want more?" I asked, then he sat down.

"Do you have more with Trevor?"

I smiled. "Trevor believes that he loves me but... I do not think love is complete unless it is given back to you. Do you agree?" Sadness came on his face with sadness in his eyes.

"I do not believe in love, Emily."

"That is to sad for me to accept my Lord. Life is to crule if we do not believe in love... if we did not have love, why would we want to live?" I asked him questionably. He smiled sadly untill he jumped up when we heard footsteps.

"What do I interupt?" Klaus said walking up with blood all over the front of his shirt. He smiled as he walked up to us.

"He's returned," Elijah said standing up.

I stood up also and looked at his shirt.

"Long night?" He asked. Klaus smiled to reveil to dimples o both sides.

"What has happened?" I asked coming up to him.

"Wrong village and picked a fight in a tavern," he said raising his eyebrows taking my arm in his hand, he lead me away from Elijah. I looked back, but Klaus put his hand on my back to let me now to focus on him. Elijah half smiled as he lead me away.
