So this is how it all ends, huh?

Death by suffocation

Only when I made some croaking sounds did the two nutbags finally let me go.

My mom pinched my cheeks, "You deserve another pancake!"
As my mom was stabbing a round piece of delicious from the plate stacked with them, my phone buzzed.

I slid my cellular device over to Elf who had her cheeks filled with food.

Elf and I shared a look before I turned to my mom.

Elf swallowed loudly.

"That's okay, mom. Elf and I have to go."

"Go? How do you have plans at seven on a Saturday?"

"Headed to a friend's house." I answered vaguely, gathering Elf's and my dirty dishes.

"Oh, okay," Mom didn't sound too sure of herself.

I loaded the dishwasher.

"Be here by curfew."

"Okay."

"I'm serious, Phoebe. 11 o'clock"

"Mom, I said 'okay'!" I laughed before kissing her cheek.

After Elf and I had made our way to the front of the shack, I snatched my keys from my backpack that was lying on the floor in front of the door.

"Wait."

I extended my arm and stopped both Elf and I in our tracks.

"What is it?!" Elf looked all around her.

"I can't go out like this!"

We both glanced at my yoga pants and "You Go Glen Coco" pink t-shirt.

"We're just going to Anton's."

"But what if someone sees me on the way there?"

"We don't have time for you to get glammed up!"
"I don't even have any make up on! I look homeless!"
Elf shook my shoulders and glared at me, "Who cares?"

I pursed my lips, "If I guess your name right I'm changing clothes."

She smirked, "Go for it."

"Candy."

"What am I, a stripper?"

"Candice."

Her face began to glow, "I wish! Then I could be all like: 'Moooomm, Phineas and Ferb are making a title sequence!'"

I blinked at her for a moment, "Let's just go."

"You look...normal."

I finally made my way into Anton's house.

I had peered left and right about a thousand times to make sure no one was coming while I was in my car. And if a car did pass by, I insisted on waiting another five minutes before checking to see if anyone was outside again.

It took a while to reach the front door.

I expected Anton to double over, fall down, and roll on the floor laughing as he got a good, hard look at what was under all the makeup and designer clothes.

"Remind me why you wear so much makeup, again?" He asked me once Elf and I stepped over the threshold.

Anton's house was even smaller than my mom's and without a second floor.
