Hey everyone!

Thanks so much for reading and thanks for all the support.

Man, this chapter was so amazing to write. I got really deep and showed my poetic side a bit. But I fr almost made myself cry it was just so good to me.

*Time spent on this chapter was 60% writing and 40% trying to find a pic of Toni🙄. But anyways, isn't she so beautiful❤️❤️and look at those gorgeous locks😍

I really hope you enjoy! Pardon any mistakes ;)

It's like she holds both of our hearts and our souls for us, so I don't have to. And I know I don't have to shield my heart because she's shielding it for me. Thomas collected his thoughts, holding a slumbering Toni in his arms.

He looked down at her beautiful face as she peacefully slept.

She's given me permission to do what I need to do and to be all I have to be. She has given me freedom. She has given me love. She has given me peace.

Tommy had never come this close to needing anyone in his entire life. And it had all happened so fast. The way she came in and got under his skin so quickly, melting his heart for her and her alone.

I can be heartless, he thought. I can be heartless and she'll do the caring for me. She'll do the feeling for me.

It was now okay for him to feel dead inside and numb to emotion. She would be his emotion. He would live and love through her.

By doing this he knew he would be signing away his life and freedom to her. But he also knew, within every single part of himself that she would never abuse the parts that he gave to her. And she would never leave.

She had already proven that she could handle his defects and his curses. He just hoped that she was ready for the shit storm that was to surely come. The storm that was Glasgow.

He had seriously underestimated this man. Tommy could see now that if he did not end his actions now, Glasgow's damage could lead to more than a loss of funds here or there. It could lead to pain, death, and destruction.

Toni stirred in his arms. He kissed her forehead before whispering, "Sleep well."

After a few moments her breathing evened out and she returned to a deep sleep. Tommy stood from the bed and began to dress.

He wrote a quick note, put it on his pillow, and walked out the door.

Toni awoke hours later and turned to see Tommy had disappeared. There was a small note on his pillow that said: Went to work.

As soon as she moved to sit up she fell a dull pain in her stomach.

"Oh God," she mumbled to herself. She felt like she was about to vomit.

Standing slowly, she took a deep breath and headed to the kitchen. She poured herself a glass of water and began to drink it. Before she could even finish it halfway her stomach refused to accept anymore.

She almost spit out the water as she set her glass down and ran to the bathroom.

As soon as she was knelt in front of her toilet, she did vomit.

I can't even keep down water, she thought. Must be food poisoning.

But this explanation made no sense to her because the last meal she ate was prepared by herself and she knew how to cook. She would never give herself food poisoning.
